Thanks to the team. Only couples of weeks after Google release.
I hope camera updates will follow soon and notification light too.

No, proceed with this update and wait for the Q OTA update or wait for a couple of hours for it to be available on Oxygen Updater.

DO NOT use VPN for any updates as there are region specific builds. Wait for your region to get OTA

What is bad with that app? It has helped users with downloading files for several Oneplus generations. Some people can barely download the files from a browser and copy it to the right directory... This is a helping tool that gives many users less issues and problems. It verfies the md5 too for the user... Some gladly download from a link someone posts and accidently flash incorrect files (remember several cases of BA to AA flashes due to such links including a misshapening with one of the links you posted (everyone makes mistakes and I'm not yelling at you [e]1f609[/e]) ).
I would say that downloading from links at XDA or from some random dude here is riskier or atleast equally risky than using Oxygen Updater. Only possibly safer option is to wait and use OTA. But going so far to say you must avoid Oxygen Updater... I can add a notice about "use at your own risk"... But that should apply to links as well to be true... The AA/BA confusion may not exist on stable 10 though... or will they exist again?

Updater is not an official oneplus app so use it at your own discretion. AA/BA builds and region specific builds will exist so I recommend wait for your region specific ota to hit your device instead.

Actually this OTA is for some specific devices only and not for all regions and we need to wait for few days to arrive this update
