Very excited in being able to be one of the first few stable Android 10 users but there's just one thing I'm very uncomfortable with, and that's my full screen gestures, and specifically my recents. Swiping and long pressing is very unstable under my use and would love it if we can remap the recents button. Since Android 10s coming with long hold bottom corner for Google assistant it would be great if we can make that a recents button instead maybe? Or maybe make just one side back and the other recents? Since I think most users practically only use one side to go back most of the times.

Once again I am very thankful to all members of the software team coming with Android 10 in this amazingly fast update that no other company could have done. Thank you so much.

Thanks. The fix was very simple. I had all animations turned off in Developer Options and Nova Launcher. Just to increase speed. Little did I know that speed increase didn't give the app the split second that it needed to open.

It is a full wipe and install from beta to official build. This was stated many times.

That's supposed to happen. To switch between the beta and stable channels, your phone will wipe everything.

I have read at least a hundred times that going from BETA to STABLE will automatically delete everything!!! Did you not do any research????

official beta 2 thread, page one announcement:
Once you migrate to the beta path, you will continue to receive Open Beta OTAs. You will no longer receive the regular Official Stable OTAs.

Moving back to the Official OTA path from the Beta path will require a full install and clean flash (full wipe of all data and cache).

True, and this app helps me update faster, the "Official" update their talking about that we should wait. Takes months. Like what happen to me. Im glad i found oxygen updater. Nothing is bad with the app, they are just people who wants to help oneplus users. Why are they talking sht to them. Tsktsk

One "bad" thing about oxygen updater is that is messed up the controlled release. Let's say for this major release, OnePlus wanted to push the update to 5000 users and then wait 2-3 days for the rest. That means if there are problems, it's limited to 5000 people or perhaps 5000 unhappy customers because the upgrade is not stable.

Once it's on oxygen updater, everyone can download it and right now, there are a lot more people running the BA release than what is expected. The potential for unhappy people is far greater and on top of that, maybe something specific about the BA release doesn't work well outside of Europe. Now you might have 10, 20, 40 thousand people running a software that isn't meant for that phone's region, and not giving a chance to OnePlus to gather feedback and correct possible problems.

Imagine for example that the qualcom crash is still a problem, and it's affecting 10% of the devices. Without oxygen updater, you would have around 500 people (out of the 5000 early adopters) who have problems. If, via oxygen updater, 45000 more people downloaded the update, now you have 5000 users getting crash problems, complaining all over forums that oneplus is a horrible company that doesn't test their software enough, and that will buy a different phone next time.

One plus isn't pushing to a limited number of people to irritate people, they are doing it for our own good. It helps prevent hundreds of posts a day that are all about "how do I flash back stable?" or "I get crash, oneplus sucks, horrible company, would not buy again".

Take a look at this thread, at how many people can't even figure out how to make oxygen updater works, and who won't know where to start if they needed to go back to 9.5.11. Do you think oxygen updater did them any favor by having the download early? Completely the opposite. By making sure only a few have an early update, you limit the number of people who will have an unhappy experience with the new software.

There's nothing bad with oxygen updater per say, other than making it very easy for people with limited skills to update early and potentially putting them in a situation where their phone isn't working well and they don't have a clue how to revert back.
