I updated myself via local upgrade. I got the zip file in XDA developers site. After updating the OS to 10.3.0 I reset my phone. Usually i do that, after every major android upgrade. just to get a feel of using it fresh. ofcourse take backups.
the update is very cool. personally i like it very much. getting SOT of 5.20hrs for the first time. I didn't used it for playing games. just regular use and installing my favourite apps, browsing, social media, YouTube, customisation etc.
keyboard has a space at the bottom. i don't find it as an issue(well, that's an update from google -- can't complain on OnePlus). i am using dark theme for keyboard as well. so visually not an issue, doesn't look awkward.
step counter in shelf(iPhone feature), digital wellbeing (that has app usage stats like iPhone) - you can limit apps using a timer, video color enhancer, game space app, ram boost, DC dimming, system wide dark theme ++ wow.. all these features are awesome. i just love it. switching between apps are even more smoother. night mode is awesome. i use it at lowest brightness and that wasn't available with pie. this is very useful for me. also, under display settings --> advanced --> wide color gamet. this makes screen very colourful. love it. no lag in UI whatsoever. but i recommend to factory reset once you install the update.

    Hi Team,

I have successfully updated my OP 6 to 10.3.
However, now I am facing an issue with the display of some emojis and hindi characters. I already have up-to-date Hindic Keyboard plugin with GBoard. Tried restarting but not helped. Is anyone facing similar issue? The display of those characters is a ballot box character (with and without X). Eg: ☐ ☐ ☐

    Please help!

Received yesterday in Italy. No problems until now except for different screen calibration and the first it didn't activate dash charge.
