Depends, if you are in a hot climate or not.

If you are in a hot climate such as 30° or higher, The air temperature at your location can cause the phone to heat while in use or charging. 6 series phones have no active cooling.

As I said climate can play a part. If you have a screenshot prior to installing 10.3.3 it would be good to compare.

Also it can take a couple of charge cycles for an update to settle, as Android will be optimizing the phone.

You may want to check battery stats too. You may have an app that acts crazy... Had a other user the other day with a huge percentage of battery draining by Snapchat. That was using the CPU heavily and causing a lot of heat. Only screen surpassed it's battery usage.

The ambiant temperature can always be nice to know when discussing heat issues. But here it sounds more like some kind of workload is draining and causing extra heat.

sorry buddy but bt i don't have 10.3.2 thermal stats..
but i m sure that the heating level was not even closer to current.
it was used to heat while gaming like PUBG and call of duty.
Now in normal usage like i am now typing this msg even then also it is currently heating top portion of device (i.e. onwards oneplus logo till top secondary mic and metal frame which is holding volume key and alert slider and all things) like heater.

Just in case there is an App hogging resources, causing Heat issues, causing lag, Battery drain or freezing, clear your recent apps, also try setting 3rd party apps to Optimize in Settings Battery, only leave the ones you need run in the background or to notify you such as messages, email, Google Services, oneplus etc on Intelligent control.

Android may take a few days to optimize those apps after setting them to Optimize depending on your usage of those apps. A10 has its own learning curve.

Go through 3 to 4 charge cycles, leave on charge beyond full capacity for a couple of hours. Preferably overnight.

After a few days, Check App battery stats at about 50% and see if there are particular apps using more resources than necessary.

If its still not improving, backup your phone, full factory reset, Delete All Data, as in wipe your phone completely, and repeat the steps above.

This will restore you to a fresh installation of Android. So you will need to backup your phone.

    After Backing up the phone.

    Go to Settings,
    System,
    Reset Options,
    Enable Erase Internal Storage.

Then click on the Delete All Data button.
