I am also software engineer in one of the top US IT company, don't lie about the the production roll outs...
Is OnePlus developer's are fu*king idiots... do they roll out to the production without doing proper QA/testing?

then when you heard such things from Google, Amazon Microsoft, Apple?
they pulled back the rolled out to the production code back to back.. can understand failure one time, not Everytime... I hope you have not forgotten the last roll out issue too...

I've seen much (much) worse after 30 years in the industry. And I'm not stating fact, so it can't be a lie. Just ramblings from me.

Check how much storage you have left, do you have enough space to download it, never mind install it.

More than 5GB of storage left

I would clear more storage, as the system may be using most of that when you are trying to download. You should always have at least 20% storage available at any given time, to allow for system use and downloading such files.

Once you have cleared storage, restart the phone, and rerun Oxygen Updater.

Just in case there is an App hogging resources, causing lag, Battery drain or freezing, clear your recent apps, also try setting 3rd party apps to Optimize in Settings Battery, only leave the ones you need run in the background or to notify you such as messages, email, Google Services, oneplus etc on Intelligent control.

Android may take a few days to optimize those apps after setting them to Optimize depending on your usage of those apps. A10 has its own learning curve.

Also charge your phone to full and restart it after optimizing, and see if that helps.

Check App battery stats at about 50% and see if there are particular apps using more battery than necessary.
