Of course you "need" it. Tell her to come on here, I'll convince her of the benefits. The peace and quiet she will have for days while you play with your new toy. 🤣🤣

Not sure she'll be easily convinced this time. Might have to agree to sell 1 or 2 phones to sweeten her up 😂🤣

Stop whining about not getting android 11 on this thread please.
I wanted to see if anyone's facing the heating issue, frame drop issue and battery issues with this update.. but so far I've seen only few talking about the update here. Almost 95% are whining about android 11.
Even though they've made it clear you'll get open beta at the end of August.
Your whining is waste of time for both you and the one's who's looking to see if there's any new issues with this update and what kind of bugs they've fixed.

I know how a staged rollout works, but it's still funny, how the phone tries to shows me that my phone should been updated, because it's becoming insecure, but the update still doesn't reached me OTA😂 "bi-monthly security updates" this company is such a joke.

You could always just install it yourself via local upgrade 🤷‍♂️

indeed, It was all over media in few hours of release. I am not much of a camera person so, it did not matter to me much. the camera works just as fine for me till date. However a telephoto would have been much better.

When hardware are powerfully inbuilt then they're not updating software and fanboys on oneplus community are promoting GCam

I wish aperture would be 2.6 then picture quality would be something else.

Isn't that very misleading, so actually people who bought the t version are fools, they bought a 6 late device yet same software as the 6 months old device.

See y can't they update with respect to the time of the launch of the Device instead of the series? We demand for an update as a user and as u said we won't but an another OnePlus device. Yes it's software is great comparatively but what's the point if we don't get a proper update?
As a general concern Can you accept all the hype provided by OnePlus for the 9 series using hasselblad and providing similar results to the previous OnePlus 8pro?. There is no ois in a $700 phone, duh!!!!!
OnePlus was better in the past and it's not good for the future, OnePlus will eventually be the next LG.

not quite, whenever there is unified development(T/non T variants), T-variants are considered with non-T variants to make the development more seamless(don't know how that worked out for OnePlus though).
They did mention this somewhere in their update cycle announcement afaik. Moreover its same from 3-series so by 6-series people would have caught the drift on how OnePlus goes after unifying the firmware updates.

It's just 2 types of WiFi settings the 5 GHz will be much faster compared to the 2.4 especially for computers
the 2.4 ghz band provides coverage at a longer range but transmits data at slower speeds. the 5 ghz band provides less coverage but transmits data at faster speeds. ... however, higher frequencies allow data to be transmitted faster than lower frequencies, so the 5 ghz band allows you to upload and download files faster.
