Still 5 Ghz bandwidth wifi issue not fixed .
Frequent disconnection of wifi happens in 5 Ghz bandwidth
Team after updating to android multiple release came not one release fixed this issue

i tried in my oneplus 6 via oxygen updater..and i received via OTA in my oneplus 6T both are working same...great battery backup....and everything is working fine...
I am also confused why some users are facing problems as we all are using same update.
you should try it is totally same as OTA...

    Look in Settings -> Wi-Fi & Internet -> Wi-Fi -> Wi-Fi Preferences

Make sure you have selected a 'Network rating provider's e.g. Google

This may help, especially if you have selected 'Connect to open networks'

Network rating provider is selected as Google only.
Still I face this issue ,I don't face any issue when I work with my laptop.
Frequent disconnection happens only when I connect in 5ghz bandwidth

But many say it isn't buggy.
You must read the threads and decide for yourself.
I have 5 models 1,2,3,5,6 mostly updated many times. In all those updates I've had very few problems only. Others however have reported many problems and many had no problems at all.
If you have problems someone here will try to help you.

    If you've already:

    - Disabled "Use random MAC address" in the Wi-Fi preferences on your SSID

    - Reaffected the new MAC address in your router's Wi-Fi whitelist (if you made one)

    - Disabled "Use private DNS" on your device

It could be the right moment to think "What if it were my router's fault?" and try to solve the issue on the router's end asking yourself:

    - "Is 5Ghz covering correctly the room I'm in and (since 2.4 Ghz covers a broader distance than 5 Ghz)?"

    - "Is 2.4 Ghz better for me?"

    - "Is there a new firmware solving this type of issues for my router"...

And all these questions you can ask yourself as far as you router is concerned.

The latest one is 4.4.4. 4.4.3 & 4.4.4 are Beta builds and the Beta is closed as they have enough participants

You can download and install the latest version from ApkMirror

Oneplus are usually behind with updates on the Playstore.
