Updated my op6t Maclaren to 10.3.3. Only for now one big issue - battery drained so quickly compare with previous os and same phone settings and usage.

So, wiping the cache partition still changes something.

It must do something, have seen it before, sometimes it fixes issues, other times it doesn't, maybe if it's done after a Factory Reset as has been done here it has an effect of some sort.

It's likely that the update doesn't clean all the cache partitions effectively or that there are still leftovers from old wipes.

Possibly, but many state there are not supposed to be cache partitions anymore, and put it down to a phone restart.

But I doubt that just restarting will fix it, if its an ongoing issue. Might temporarily, but long term it won't if its continuous issue.

    Ok update time:

Last night I charged my phone without wifi and it started randomly rebooting. I made sure it still reached 100 % before unplugging it.

After that, I removed the SIM and the phone behaved correctly. Later (1 hour) I reinserted the sim but resetted my network adapter and till this moment the phone has not shown any issue (except for a slight heating, but it may be just me being super attentive). It has 14% left with 5.05 h of SOT.

I also received a message from the support, saying the are looking into the issue. Will update asap if they tell me more.

I am no expert when it comes to phone architecture but sometimes there are components (like EEPROMs) that can behave weirdly (basically you wipe them with an electric signal, but there is a slight chance that this procedure could not work).

Maybe it's some internal component that can only be wiped with the cache wiping, who knows?

Originally it seemed very clear. The partition was removed so wiping the cache no longer does anything.
Now we get conflicting information as to what it does do.
    Someone must know.

And just a query on the other issue, after resetting the adapter, reinserting the Sim. Are both WiFi and Network back working without interference as previously?

Yes, they are working fine now. I will now charge again my phone when it reaches 1/2 % and see if the rebooting issue manifests itself.

My Airtel data connection gets disrupted when a call comes. It was working fine as long as I was on the last Open Beta.

    Can someone help?

( Apologies in advance for not having gone through the previous posts, but have tons of pressure as I am having to take online classes.)

Not sure. I reset the APN due to poor connection. (We had a terrible cyclone here.)

Go to Settings, System, Reset Options, Reset WiFi Mobile Bluetooth. See if that helps.
