No problem, however I have seen this before, where the phone signal can get weak from time to time, this is merely a test to see if it is the signal causing the drain. And if the Mobile adapter is working too hard to find and or keep the signal

As I said, I have seen this before.

This update is the worst ever update. It is seriously heating up the phone and draining the battery. Feels like a blast might happen of it continues to heat up. The weather of the city and temperature of my phone is same after this shitty update. Screw you one plus.

If you are in a hot climate such as 30° or higher, The air temperature at your location can cause the phone to heat while in use or charging. 6 series phones have no active cooling.

However try the steps below to see if you can relieve some of the issue.

Just in case there is an App hogging resources, causing Heat issues, causing lag, Battery drain or freezing, clear your recent apps, also try setting 3rd party apps to Optimize in Settings Battery, only leave the ones you need run in the background or to notify you such as messages, email, Google Services, oneplus etc on Intelligent control.

Android may take a few days to optimize those apps after setting them to Optimize depending on your usage of those apps. A10 has its own learning curve.

Go through 3 to 4 charge cycles, leave on charge beyond full capacity for a couple of hours. Preferably overnight.

After a few days, Check App battery stats at about 50% and see if there are particular apps using more resources than necessary.

If its still not improving, backup your phone, full factory reset, Delete All Data, as in wipe your phone completely, and repeat the steps above.

This will restore you to a fresh installation of Android. So you will need to backup your phone.

    After Backing up the phone.

    Go to Settings,
    System,
    Reset Options,
    Enable Erase Internal Storage.

Then click on the Delete All Data button.

are you suggesting that this device should just magically convert it's camera to an iris scanner or something?

i am getting an issue with charging... past few days i have observed that the device is not charging fastly and sometimes it automatically switches to normal charging speeds..

also observed that when the device is heated up pretty high then shows a message that "plugged in unable to charged your device right now"

    can someone explain this please?

Have you tried cleaning the ports on the phone, charger and both ends of the USB cable with a fine dry toothbrush or non conductive wooden toothpick carefully. To see if it an help.

Also check that there are no bends or folds in the Cable and that the charger is not to hot to the touch.
