This just happened again with my mother's phone (also a 6T) after the update. I lost count of how many times I restarted and shut off/on the phone before it finally let me sign in.

Anyone else experience this or know of this problem?

Only the post you quoted, haven't heard of that prior to that.

Report the issue directly to OnePlus Developers as a Bug report.

I think its high time for one plus 6 users to roll back to android 9....With Android 10 , it has been constantly being introduced to bugs which they yet have not been able to resolve ...Fingerprint used to work like a charm in android 9. Everything was just good in it...With android 10 it led to slowing the speed of locking and unlocking..random freezes which gets solved by locking and unlocking....battery not upto the mark....We just wanted a clean Oxygen OS..And now with every update it has just got heavier and heavier.
Even i had suspected doubts from the frst day of android 10 when the fingerprint lock , which used to work like a snap, started to take time . Since then its nothing good.

    I
I have no such problem with my OP6, Android 10 made my phone snappier than ever.
Before you roll back to A9 which will force you to factory reset anyway, make a backup of your data, factory reset the phone and set it up in Android 10 but do NOT install all your apps. Let it run A10 clean for a day or two and see if your problems disappear. If it runs fine you can install your apps one by one to find out if and which app causes your problems.

No issue here on my 6T, runs every bit as fast if not faster than the day I bought it. Battery life at present is 8 to 10 hours SOT consistently. All on 10.3.5.

Oxygen OS is clean, it depends on how you have customised it and what apps you have installed, there's where most issues start. So the 3rd Party App developers are the ones you need to talk to.

Will you please mention the bugs.
For me everything is working fine and smooth and didn't any issue till now. Fingerprint is also fast and battery SOT 10+hrs.

And What you said about CLEAN OXYGEN OS [e]1f602[/e]
Oxygen OS already a clean Operating system there are no Bloatware.
This is not ONE UI / MIUI that comes with many Bloatware.

And for update every new update comes with new features, performance and most important security patch.
For me the 10.3.3, 10.3.4, 10.3.5 all three are most stable version.😇

I think you should reset your device or go for clean installation that will solve your all problems.

Which means you won't be offered Android 11 when it is released, you will have to manually update to the last version of 10 when released in order to update to 11 when that's released.

    One plus 6:-

1). Random lag which occurs when suddenly i unlock my phone without even ambient display being showed up .
it gets fixed only when you lock and then unlock it again.

2). Random overlapping of images when i swipe down any app holding it and then the previous app which was opened in the background seems to Overlap the current app....This happens for a second or two ...Sometimes its so long that when i want to clear my present app which i was working on, the 2nd app which is also open in the background it overlaps and instead of my current app...the 2nd overlapping app gets cleared.

3). Fingerprint in pie was fast....i mean you could just lock and unlock it quickly....Now i would like to ask you to do the same thing in Android 10...Just Lock and try to unlock again within 1 sec....Do it and then tell me...

4). System section takes time to open sometimes....more than 2 sec or 3 sec sometimes.....its like its opening something on the internet.....I mean why the hell is taking time for the system section of the phone to open....its and inbuilt section of the phone man!!

and yes Ravi...i think you have one plus 6T....so the fingerprint problem of one plus 6 you might not get it...

and By clean oxygen Os i meant that its responsiveness is not that fast as it used to be..not tha bloatware kinda stuff....
And yes i do not restart my phone every night like some of the people in this community do and then say that their phone is working flawlessly.
Its a phone ...not a laptop/desktop that every night you need to shut it down .

When was the last time you reset your device ?
I also have Oneplus 6 as my secondary device still didn't face any issue that you have mentioned. And I think fingerprint is also work same as Android 9 but i never calculated the time to lock and unlock.

I advise you to go for clean installation it will really helpful for you.
As i mentioned in above post the importance of new updates.
There are many post throughout the thread for clean installation or roll back to previous version which you like. 😇

If you haven't done a reset since 9.0.8 it's definately time for it now. I did reset when I installed 10.0.0 and I haven't had any problems after that.
