And thus the 6T is still in it's second year as I mentioned. They tend to lump them together, like 3 & 3T and 5 & 5T.

That's mean if Android 11 and 2021 is last year of service by OnePlus team. Oh Man I thought additional 3 years of security updates too will be provided by OnePlus. Ok fair enough can't complain much about it only Google updates will save us now.

Pie was faster. And less complex. Machines get slower with new software over time. For me performance is still completely acceptable in android 10.

Improved system stability and fixed general bugs

Updated Android Security Patch to 2020.09>>>

    Hi ...
Is there any detailed info on the general bugs fixed, or in other words, is there a real change log somewhere ?
Usually it takes 3 to 5 weeks to get these staged rollout fixes on my country which means I'll get my phone with the September 2020 security patch somewhere in November.
Is a staged rollout really required for such a simple update ?
    Thanks.

bruh, OnePlus have already to much to do. They are working on Oxygen OS 11 for all phones, 8-Series got it yesterday, and they are working hard to get in stable for all their phones right now. Security is not that relevant for them right now, they focus on the main OS which is the new update - Android 11. But its good for you that you are just talking shit, that you switching to Pixel 4a. Just saying, gonna be the same wait for new updates as it would be for a OnePlus phone. They have other things that is more important than Security updates right now. Be glad that you have phone that fully works instead.

Not gonna lie, it is disappointing that the long awaited update was simply some fixes and security patches (gave the impression that something fancy would be introduced). However, it is better than nothing and Android 11 is confirmed to be coming soon (although several months from now even with the changes A10 made regarding updates [considering there will not be open beta releases meanwhile] -- it being last on the list). That should hopefully bring in (some) features that made it into A10 releases on other newer products after the open beta ended for the 6/6T.
While there's the Google issued security patches that doesn't require OnePlus's involvement, I was hoping for the OTA updates from OnePlus (that can patch a lot more [security] issues) to be a little more consistent especially with the update schedule. As OnePlus is busy cooking up A11 builds for many of their products, I think it is somewhat forgivable but I believe they should put more effort into getting the security updates out in a shorter amount of time in the meantime where possible.

Are you the Android-Andi I remember as a good developer in the past?
If so, I just find it sad and shameful what you say in this thread...
