You should do a factory reset, that's the only way to deal with issues you're facing

I still love my OnePlus 6 after more than 2 years. It will get the update to Android 11 in 2021, nice. One thing i don't like are the safety updates for OP 6. They come later and later, and i believe those updates become more and more important. Because of that i'm thinking of buying in August 2021 a Pixel phone.

Start by learning how to backup your mobile and this will be less painful...

Haha Buddy, I've been in this android world since 2012 and I know almost all in's and out's of android. Right rooting, flashing, modding, bricking phones etc all have been a part of me since my school days.

Now I've been refraining from flashing since I've grown out of it, but considering the fact that I need to reset phone every now and then is kind of a bummer for me. That's why I raised this concern, else I'm very well aware of how to take backups and all. That isn't an issue, the real issue is performing resets every now and then.

That's unusual. 3-4 per cent in 12 hours is what my 6T is going through. What's your battery health? Try resetting your device once.

They have released the update and it's staged rollout. If you need update immediately use Oxygen updater.

The real issue is using your mobile correctly not to have to reset it...

Can you be more specific when you mean to use the mobile correctly, do you mean resetting the device frequently is the correct way to use it?

I'm not saying to do every other month, I meant to say that if you have never reset your device (Android 9 to Android 10) , then reset once.
If you had already reset your device then try to clear the cache and storage of OnePlus launcher and also update is to latest stable version (download it from apk mirror website)(new version is not available on playstore in some region).
    And also do this
Goto settings > system > Ram boost > Disable it.
