Well actually I just wasted around 45 seconds of my day scrolling back through the thread to find the solution for you.

The solution does work. If it's not working for you then you must not be following it correctly 🤷‍♂️

I'm going to go and enjoy all this free time you think I have now, hope you manage to sort the problem. 🙂

After the recent update my screen brightness keeps on fluctuating and it really becomes very difficult to settle my eyes with the continuous change in brightness and it happens for few minutes or sometimes stays on for quite a lot of time. Please rectify the issue as it was not happening earlier and I did no damage to my handset

Just a temporary suggestion. Turn off the adaptive brightness for the time being if it's bugging you. Not got that issue myself, but you can leave feedback here https://forums.oneplus.com/feedback

I would say that Q2 of 2021 was a safe bet. Particularly after OnePlus' recent announcement that Open Beta for Android 11 on the OnePlus 7 series has been delayed for some weeks...

"This means the next Open Beta build will be slightly delayed according to our maintenance schedule, but it will already be based on Android 11.

We expect to have exciting news for you in the upcoming weeks, please bear with us a bit longer.

I always had Q2 of 2021 in my mind. Wouldn't be surprised if it's towards the middle or end of Q2 with the 7 series delays.

    Agreed! :D

The same as you and some others on here, I have been promoting Q2 of 2021 for the OnePlus 6 & 6T to receive stable OxygenOS for Android 11.

So, only another 5 or 6 months to go... time for another beer then!

Standby for all the disgruntled posts with pointless threats to OnePlus.

I shall bathe in their tears! ;)

To be honest I'm not sure what all the fuss is about Android 11. I went back to using my Pixel 3Xl when the A11 dev preview started and use it as my main device until not long after the official release of A11. Sure it's nice to have updates, but there wasn't really a standout feature that made it difficult to put my Pixel away again (the bubbles are just plain annoying in my view).

Currently using my OPPO Find X2 Pro as my main device (Android 10), and my 6T as my work phone. Not missing anything really from Android 11.
