    It would be impossible to know how the Developers code OOS to suit 6 series phones. Mostly it would be OnePlus features and customisations, but as seen with the 7 series and the encryption issue, who knows if they run into problems or not, remains to be seen.
    6 series will also have different hardware and possibly other background software parameters to other series.
    Developers don't discuss here how they code for different series, so we would never know the finer details.

    Try this
    For battery draining and heating issue try this.
    You can calibrate to enhance your battery life
    For battery draining you should follow this to calibrate..

    Goto settings >App and notifications>Click on three dot in right corner>Reset app preference.

    To Optimize the phone, clear your recent apps, also set 3rd party apps to Optimize in Settings Battery, only leave the ones you need run in the background or to notify you such as messages, email, Google Services, oneplus etc on Intelligent control.

    Android may take a few days to optimize those apps after setting them to Optimize depending on your usage of those apps. A10 has its own learning curve.

    Go through 2 to 3 charge cycles, leave on charge beyond full capacity for a couple of hours. Preferably overnight.

    After a few days, Check App battery stats at about 50% and see if there are particular apps using more resources than necessary.

    U can do it with an option that will be bypass physical button .

    I can't tell why they didn't do that I too at times feel doing that but then I just decrease the volume .. although my slider works perfectly but I don't want the paint to come off. 😁😁

    That is still nothing compared to what apple offers with their support, OnePlus is the best in Android space but they can improve much more and support the hardware for much longer as we all know the hardware is capable of running even the latest OS, and that's the main reason why people don't upgrade because it's a waste of money

    Let's not forget that apart from the stable OxygenOS updates, there have been Open Beta and Developers Previews for the OnePlus 6T, as follows...

    Stable OxygenOS updates = 24

    Open Beta updates = 23

    Developer Previews = 3

    Total firmware releases = 50 in 855 days

    1 update on average, every 17 days since release.

    How I get the update from "Phone Setting_System_System Updates"? Instead of oxygen updater ?
    I have no receive new update in system updates......I receive new updates from "Oxygen Updater"
    I want to receive new updates in Phone Setting.....tell me how it's possible?.....even I am already reset my phone but it's method don't work....tell me the solution....

    Off Topic: Replaced my Oneplus 6 battery 3 days back at OnePlus service center. Battery is free and they only charged labour cost 473 INR. Now am getting 7+ hours SOT.

    The ONLY solution to get the update OTA instead of using Oxygen Updater is to WAIT.

    Next time read (and UNDERSTAND) Post #1 before posting...

    Sometimes Update is pushed to your device but it won't notify , just go to settings -- System -- System Updates , after that software update will be shown on your device or wait 5 days.
