True, not improved for me too. Still show charging, I messaged OnePlus team, they told that the team is still working on that issue.

Greent tint and the black bar in low brightness?? While at lock screen or while using Chrome?

I've had no black bar issues that I notice on a regular basis. I keep my phone's brightness at half and have turned off auto brightness. On chrome, Instagram and apps that have a dark background, the issue I do have is that if I leave the screen untouched for sometime, it dims itself until I touch it. Then it goes back to normal. I can get the black bar if I really look for it, but only if I dim my brightness all the way down.

When I did get the update, everything seemed fine to me from a stability point of view. The display issues have been there from the beginning of the 8 series' life cycle. Until OnePlus actually owns up to their mistake, we won't get a fix.

They said that it's not a hardware fault ! It will get fixed soon with the upcoming updates! Are they tricking us or this is true!

Can you quote the post where they've said it's a hardware fault? I'd like to read that. Whether it's true or not, I wouldn't know. I don't work for OnePlus.

Let's just say we have 100 different levels of screen issues. 1 universal update needs to fix all extreme variants of the issue and also the very minor issues that is close to not visible at all.... Without negatively affecting those that does not have any issues at all. The way I see it an update can dampen the effect for several users but never everyone. At some level the issues goes beyond software fixable because it simply outside of the fixable spectrum. So we have some that can be fixed or atleast dampened and some that simply have a too big variation of an issue that may need screen replacement.
In short it's not as simple as Software OR Hardware for all the cases.

I have tried all lightning conditions including total darkness together with all lightning settings with my OP8 IN2013 (10.5.10.IN21BA EU firmware) and I can not at any point see any defects with the display.

So, I just hope that they do not “fix” in software what is not broken, just in order to try to minimize hardware errors that might be present in some versions of this phone and thereby risk introducing errors in totally fine phones.

OP should in this case replace failing products with fixed ones since this error demonstrably does not exist in all units.

I have recently purchased the device 3 days ago and as soon as I booted it for the first time I saw this update.
Some of my apps are freezing and even closing automatically.
Few times even the touch to wake screen doesn't work properly.
Don't know if it's with my device or other's too.

It is perfectly useable as a daily driver.

Bugs may depend on how you use your device, but I haven't had any so far.
