What good does waiting do? Won't next device upgrade software the same way? Unless there is some changes in how stable software channel is handled nothing will change. Both "monthly security" demanding users and the "new feature very often" users will be disappointed if both sides demand different things from stable channel.
If they change to monthly security on stable but slow it down and make more it much more security and stability focused for the regular users and for the more nerdy ones they can move to beta channel... I think that in the long term is a win-win situation.
I like Oneplus software and updates. But improvements are possible. Always on beta as soon as it starts. Actually going to miss beta when my 8 series arrive

    Hi there,

I recently installed the update. Today I wanted to change the default notification sound - but the system only allows me to select media files or just "none". There are no sounds provided by the system. Bug or feature?

The update has been running smoothly. As to be expected, it took a few days for the OS to settle in but everything is solid now.

There are a few bugs here and there. One annoying bug is that when composing a status in WhatsApp and you have an incoming notification, a white bar appears under the keyboard (Gboard) & (I'm using navigation gestures and have the hide the bottom bar enabled).

Besides that, all else ia solid.

https://github.com/nextcloud/android/issues/5039 suggests that this is not an OnePlus problem, but is caused by Nextcloud...
