    Crossflashing seems more risky on 8 series..
    Why flash EU? The wait on the global/NA rom is there probably for a good reason. Perhaps dual Sim.

    "Should someone wish to crossflash their device to a regional ROM different than the one present out the box, it is advised they take backup of their /persist partition beforehand by using dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/persist of=/sdcard/persist.img (you must have root access, which is not something I'm going to explain here) and moving it to their computer/cloud "

    Nobody really knows. Until some staff adds more details in the first post we can only guess. The problem may be dual sim and waiting on verification from some carriers.

    Already upset one forum member with my first post yesterday for which I apologise.
    I described the 1+8 pro as an unwanted gift from my crazy wife.
    An overreaction I think.
    Slightly unwelcome gift may be. I'm stuck in hospital with poorish eyesight so struggling a little.
    I turned the beast on and managed to setup my Google account.
    It's almost impossible to make out much on the screen because there is a purple haze everywhere. I'm on the highest settings for brightness but still unable to see much clearly.
    Fallen at the first hurdle I'm afraid.
    Is this really the out of the box setup.

    To fix point number 7, you have to head in to
    settings > display > advanced and change the refresh rate from 90hz to 60hz and then back to 90hz.

    That will temporarily fix the issue. Once you restart your phone, the issue will come back.

    I've only had the phone for a few days, but I've definitely noticed that some black colors are significantly harder to distinguish than on my old OnePlus 3.

    I've heard about this problem and the tint problems (which I don't have) on the pro models, but there's not as much talk in general about the non pro models. Are others still seeing this issue after the update?

    Otherwise the phone is pretty nice, but at twice the price as the OnePlus 3 when I bought it, noticeably losing detail in dark colors is a problem.

    I bet you're the first to complain about battery drain when you finally get AOD

    OnePlus are the best company I've seen for pushing out updates & at least they give their consumers a voice!

    I still get random hangs on some apps (chrome, reddit app, I have to open drawer and comeback to app to get it to work) and pornhub app crashes sometimes.
    The community app does not work on wifi. It's empty, some kind of login problem.
    Are we going to get public beta ?
    I used to have it on my 5t

    Oh, and I have wiped cache from recovery

    It happened today, under bright sunlight, the screen overblown the colors exposure and it became so bright that the blacks had become grey, the greens almost yellow, the letters shown with a white contour, everything was overexposed. After locking the screen and unlocking it became normal but seconds after the contrast blown again, it only stopped doing that when I went indoors...
