Well... The firmware people refer to as NA firmware is Global/International too so it's not limited to USA nor just North America.
I don't really see the problem... Why not allow dual sim OR single 5G as the rest of the world until dual sim can work together with 5G. The international version seems to drop dual sim completely of some reason. Why not fallback to dual 4G mode in dual sim configurations until dual 5G exists... Most people would be perfectly happy with that as a temporary solution.

Contact your carrier too. In many cases complaining on Oneplus over VoLTE is a waste of time if the carrier have no interest what so ever to support it themselfs on that device

Also contact your carrier and ask for VoLTE/VoWiFi support on that specific phone. What you get also depends on your carrier. Having VoLTE/VoWiFi on a older phone does not mean it is supported on all phones.

Yes... But they sell Samsung. I didn't see Oneplus. Sometimes that means they care less about supporting it on a devices they don't sell. Maybe there is something they can do if you call them. If they say Oneplus needs to fix it atleast you have some info. Then you can do a report about missing VoWiFi and VoLTE.

the issue is no doubt with OnePlus phones. something with me. my Verizon Wireless sim card works great on one my friends Samsung Galaxy note 8. WiFi calling works on that but not on my previous OnePlus 6T neither on current OnePlus 8.

what to say. i don't know. OnePlus PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY if you ever read this.

You may be right. But in my case, Verizon has started selling OnePlus now. I Know it's first time. They tried from their end. It was disabled then they enabled it.

With my experiance with both Oneplus and carriers it seems to be a joined effort to make it work. It's not always "grab some settings" without both sides getting involved.
Sometimes Oneplus say the carrier needs to do something and sometimes the carrier put the blame on Oneplus. While the middle ground may be that the carrier tells Oneplus to enable it and gives the info needed and Oneplus adds it in a firmware upgrade...

Now a carrier here that ignored Oneplus completely until 8 series... Suddently 3 generations of Oneplus phones got it. Insider info was before in short "We don't want to... But we still sell them" 😋
