I'm barely getting 7 hours of screen time with this so called 4300 mah massive battery....... and if the device is used consecutively for 30 mins it starts heating......
Battery is draining by 5% overnight with mobile data and all other apps in off condition
Will this be solved with software update

Usually, I get the updates at least within a few days or maximum a week after it has been announced. Now this update was released a month ago and still, it doesn't show on my device. Something strange is going on here.

5% battery drain in 8h~ night is not much. That's totally fine and acceptable imo.
I'm getting 11h Screen On Time but I also don't have Snapchat, Instagram or Facebook installed which are battery killers.

I think those that haven't got it by now simply will skipp it and will jump to the next directly

I see WhatsApp mentioned over and over again as a source of battery issues... For some it runs havoc completely.
Some social media is also pure hell on regards to battery usage.

Sometimes the user needs to deside what to prioritize...Do you really need all the features enabled (for example location tracking)? Is instant notifications important? Can you use optimize mode? Do you need notifications at all? Do you even need the app version if the webapp/webpage can be used?
There are many ways the apps you install affects the battery.

Yes indeed. OnePlus 8 here in Hungary, still on 10.5.6. Takes way too long.

Did you set your phone from a back up of a previous OP phone? May need to download Oxygen Updater and check that the phone isn't set as your previous phone in updaters settings, has happened to a couple of pro owners.

Sorry quoted wrong person this was for the updates not DRM, that is due to be sorted in next update but if you roll back then it should be back to L1 until new update is available.

This is my first OnePlus phone so previous back up doesn't exist for me. I guess they just decided to postpone the EU update for some reason ...

Download oxygen updater from the playstore and see if it is available that way, this is an app and does not root your phone

Oxygen Updater files = just manually downloaded OTA files.
The app gave the devs the filenames from real OTA files. Devs verified and let other users download via app.

I mean the uodate under the same name can be posted for EU and oushed to the users, I was thinking if oxygen csn recognize it's new modified update or the same. It looks like there is a chance of the modification because it has been a long time of without update and maybe there is some issue they are trying to fix.
