Why is this new update look and feel is so bad. The UI is huge. Home screen drop down, icons alot of empty spaces. Why do you have mess up the UI so badly. I feel I'm using an elderly persons phone who will have all zoom out icons and text. I have kept the smallest but yet it's still big. said:
Edit: Attached the screenshot how one notification occupies 3/4th of the screen. Clock style is only displaying the default even if I select the other styles. WTF OnePlus. Also attached screenshot of empty spaces.
Keyboard takes half of the screen.
this literally makes me feel like I'm using an elderly persons phone. 1618726130475.jpg

Ok i found few things in this update from one day of very hard usage:

    1. Battery is definitely a hard hit but i would let this go as it might be learning my usage patterns. Apparently i charged 3 times in a day with my heavy use.
    2. I see the frame drops in just normal usage like going thru the interfaces like notifications gallery.
    3. Eventho i set my fps as 90, its not running at 90 but 60. I have to restart it once to get 90 and then after sometime it goes again to 60.
    4. I think the sound profile is changed in dolby Atmos, it cracks at 70% with my jbl extreme blutooth which i never observed in os10
    5. Interface feels sluggish like touchwiz we had in samsung.
    6. Screen real estate is reduced, which is asked by nobody. I dont know may be they increased the font size to bring down the screen real estate, advantage for few.
    7. Warp charge takes atleast 20mins more time to charge after os11. May be its to preserve the battery as it gets older.
    8. Color profile also changed less vibrant now, but its hard to notice for many
    9. I see no probs in playin games in higher fps.
    10. Camera is pretty good actually,

Overall, I dont see any major difference between android 10 and 11 from Google itself 🤦🏻 oneplus need to stick with vanilla android than going towards samsung's old touchwiz.
Sd855+ is very much capable one but even then it feels so hard on the chipset with Android 11.
If u ask me shud u update or not? I would say go for it its not that bad.

    People

Don't upgrade your phone as per my experience there are less features in OS11 as compared to OS10, I played COD in my mobile it use to run more smoothly in OS10 rather then OS11, we were waiting for AOD which was main highlight of this update, but we haven't got it, other then this they have worsen the mobile experience which it use to have. Update means something new to your device or some additional feature you get to see in current flagship but here OnePlus is making fool out of us not providing any extra feature which we had before.

On contrary I found this update as downgrade version of OS10, because there are more features present in OS10 rather in OS11 for example Slate font is not available, you get more customisation settings in OS10 and OnePlus laboratory is missing in OS11 as per my point of view OS10 is much suitable and well optimized with our current hardware..the only difference is about the looks like bigger font ugly time watch etc depends upon personal choice..I have updated my phone and after using for sometime I downgraded to back my OS 10 and just wanna say I didn't had any problem with upgrade like other people are facing, I just didn't like the fact of bigger and ugly customisation. And I am grateful to OnePlus to provide option to downgrade

People who have upgraded I will request them to compare both old and new version...and what extra did you got other then some new ambient and canvas thing. I am again reiterating I did not had any problem in OS11 but after update I started missing the polishing which OS10 used to provide me.

OnePlus is settled....But I will "Never settle" 😉✌️

I do agree, the phone is heating too much and I have to use the Bluetooth headset to attend the calls. Charging is also taking a long time. It no longer displays the warp charge after the latest update

What's wrong with the new launcher update in 10.3.8, the app grid size is changed automatically and there's no option to change the grid size for the app drawer, please provide an option to customize the grid size for the app drawer
