    I've been facing widevine L1 -> L3 issue from past 4-5 months.
    3 months back I contacted OnePlus support over the mail regarding the same and was told to visit nearest service center to get this resolved but due to COVID-19 restrictions, I couldn't go.
    Then a month back I got to know that this issue will be fixed in next OTA update so I waited for the same.
    Update came and there was no success for me. Certificate level still is L3.
    Then finally, I went to OnePlus service center in my city and those guys without even looking into the issue said that they need to change the motherboard to get this resolved (They wanted me to pay money to get hardware replaced because of their software bug).
    After another disappointment, I talked to OnePlus customer care and they have now told me to wait for another OTA update(MP2 version release). THEY DID NOT PROVIDE ANY ETA.
    I sadly have to say that after struggling so hard and trying so many different ways, I am nothing but disappointment with the service provided.
    We have to pay 50K for a device which we can't even use to its max capabilities. Thank you ONEPLUS for a beautiful experience.

    P.S: I am happy to share the service center details(I visited) with concerned team/person if they want to take any action.

    Yes, notification sound is low in OP 7 and OP 7 Pro both. I don't think it would be difficult for them to fix. Still, they haven't. Such small issues should not have persisted after 4 updates.

    I just shared what I actually did and how it got solved. It's totally upto you guys to do with your device. Either you can do a factory reset or you can stay with the actual build. Resetting a device by backing up data is not a huge deal I guess. Also rather than arguing you better use the feedback tool to send them logs and other stuffs.

    I understand that you are sharing only what worked for you. But my point is that there might be solutions for minor bugs and a factory reset is not always necessary. Maybe restoring a back-up is not time consuming for you. For me, restoring 200gb of data after every update is frustrating.

    If it is frustrating for you then rather than complaining here, use the feedback tool to provide them the relevant logs.

    I'm not complaining here. I'm saying that instead of giving factory reset as a solution to every problem, it would be better to find the specific solution. It'll save a whole lot of time for people.

    I only use Netflix. I had to "Clear storage" for Netflix app, logged in again and L1 was back. "Clear cache" only did not helped.

    So this update kills audio too. I'll wait. I wish I could just update the security.
