Today it took 1 hour 10 minutes to charge from 15% to 100% like as before( optimized charging option was turned on). Yesterday the screen time was about 7 hours 30 min. Before the update, it was about 6 hours.

Data won't be wiped if you are updating from stable channel itself. Still take a backup beforehand, in case anything goes wrong..

Just a little back ground, I'm not new to working with android phones. I have been rooting and romming since the Original Droid, all the Galaxy Nexus and more. Pretty much no need to root anymore.

So I update to the 1st 11 on my 7t and the phone develops serious lag, heat, the audio across the board was weakened. The phone was all but useable. Finger print was unreliable, I cannot remember it all.

I jumped the hoops to revert to10 and got happy. I really want it to work. I wish they could at least bump the security.

My intention wasn't to criticize anybody or dismiss their complaints. I was only talking about how I have never once personally experienced any of the problems that others have often complained about after a software update. That's it. Nothing more than that.

I wouldn't know how to root a phone or try out a beta update so I wasn't trying to give the impression that I was some kind of a super user. I'm the exact opposite of a super user. 😆

My phone is OnePlus 7 pro US version.

I know, I didn't take it that way, just laying out what I experienced. Thanks

Since the update to on my 7 Pro (EU version, unlocked, no root) the heat remains (ok, it seems a little better) and now the Synology DS Cam started to drain a LOT of energy (around 16%!!!), which didn't happen before this update (and the app wasn't updated).

Incredible how OnePlus can't release an update that doesn't have new bugs or doesn't really correct old ones!

I'm on the same boat. And losing hope they will ever fix it.

I also don't understand WHAT is different in the TMobile he that would cause this, or is it also happening in other hardware revisions?

I did install the uodate from oxygen updater app, everything seems to working fine,i don't feel much of the difference about power consumption. I don't use any streaming apps so can't say about prime.

It's a little bit funny to watch all of you guys frantically want to get an update to and then suffer with endless errors/bugs etc.

    My scenario is like:

Absolutely happy with 10.3.8 -> Update to -> Rollback to 10.3.8 -> Decide to gave OnePlus a second chance and update to -> Rollback and absolutely happy again with 10.3.8.

Try to google "Oneplus 7 Pro unbrick to 10.3.8 xda", open the first tab and follow the instructions at the first topic of the thread. All steps takes less than 20 minutes but it comes with deleting all of your data so don't forget to make a backup.
