Your problems don't equate to most of us. Many of us are having a much better experience than you claim. Stop trying to speak for anyone other than yourself please.

I've been a user of their products since the One Plus One... understand where I come from when I say things have changed....with over 8 Devices at my home and the lack of acknowledgement of issues and fixes is overbearing....their updates are worse than poor... You shouldn't be having a widevine issue that was previously fixed...if you understand where I'm coming from.

Since the OOS 11 came out the camera hasn't been the same ...there were other issues I reported to bug hunters some fixed some not .....and the list can go on .... Sometimes it seems as though they push updates to meet the "timelines" and that's it.....and adding to this the Global / NA users always bear the shitty end of the stick with updates as they are last to receive it because there seems to be some preference to EU and IN users...I can go on and on....but as I said I've started moving away and soon this OP8 Pro will be gone and won't have to be here whining I guess....

I've also start advising persons who come to me to stay away from their devices ....there are other brands that are improving and doing a way better job .....it is what it is ....

I'm not sure what some of you are doing with your phones, but if you are having problems, the first step is to factory reset and try the phone without restoring a backup or installing any apps. Every individual has a completely different configuration. 90%+ of the time, it's either A. App issues or B. Remnants from apps or folders from the previous release. I've been toying with Android since the HTC Aria. You can probably trust that I've seen it all.

I've already reset my phone twice and I've also been toying with Android phones for a long time,I usually buy about two flagships a year and before the 8pro (which I've never bootloader unlocked) I would install custom ROMs and kenerls. The 8pro has some serious problems since A11 (and some before). I now have widevine L3, apps force closing while using them, system freezes and green tint and black crush also(had that with A10 too). This is one of the worst Android phones I've owned although a lot is probably bad software .

Been there done that, re installed apps from the playstore and manually copied over my media...no back up and restore done...and it's still buggy. You shouldn't assume that persons are "doing things with their phone", some of us here are technically inclined, been dealing with android os a while now and we're fully aware of what we're doing. Not sure if you're a fan boy but at times you have to call a spade a spade, and quite frankly OOS 11 is buggy and there's work to do.

In addition to that I'm not sure how hard is it to prepare stable updates for all variants before releasing. They had no issue selling different variants, but there's always a delay in releasing patches mainly for the NA/ Global Variant.

Hi, am I the only owner of 8Pro who has problems with battery life ?! The only one who has 7-8Gb of RAM operating system, the only one that only touches the phone a bit and ready to lower the battery percentage as if he uses it for mining? The only one ?! I would like others to confirm if possible please! It's so annoying that I almost don't do anything about it and the battery discharges stupidly not to mention I don't get more than 5 max 6 hours of active display, moreover it's not constant in the same usage scenario once I have less once more ... and so on!

Split screen issue is fixed in this build (11.0.3.3 EU) although it is not mentioned to the changelog 😉 Thanks OnePlus team for taking care of this!

I don't know to whom you are saying are having a better experience in oneplus ask any who have used any older models of oneplus like oneplus 3 5 or even 6 each and everyone will say the company has become worse in time and no one will prefer oneplus now only the new users who don't know what oneplus was in past will go for it

When i bought oneplus 8 it gave me 7 hrs of screen on time. Being new i used it like crazy for games and checking out new features it still got on for whole day. But now it hardly touches 5hrs screen on time. Battery is same. Mobile is only 4-6mnths old. Battery doesnt degrade this fast. What issue could there be?

Factually Android 11 made the battery life a bit better than the last update before Android 11 was issued as it was only providing four and a half hours screen on time

I think I have made a mistake buying a OnePlus in 2020 and the sad part is that it's my first OnePlus device. I have been following this brand since 2014 but now the brand has completely changed. They should be up to date with the security patches atleast with their flagship devices. I would never recommend anyone to buy a OnePlus ever.
