    Hi dude,
How is storage speed on PE? I have very large amount of images and videos in my phone, and I am facing slow loading issue and lagging issue in OnePlus gallery. And File Manager is also slow in loading details of data used and other stuffs. I have reported that problems many times but it has not been improved even little bit from past couple of months. I checked other brands (both cheap and premium devices) running Android 11 such as Vivo and Samsung Note 20 at my home and they both are much faster than my OnePlus 7t in loading gallery images and videos. So I concluded that any random brand is doing great job on their OS and OnePlus is going far behind from them which was way ahead earlier.

Today received update for.my OnePlus 7T for Oxygen OS 11.0.4.1.HD65AA .

So once update is completed, I ran GeenBench 4 to chk the performence.
I see that there is significant drop almost 30% in scores compared to previous numbers.

Have you settled for such cheap tricks like APPLE did back in the days ??

Is your reason to extend battery life??

I am done with OnePlus if this is how u undermine customer loyalty

What was your battery percentage at the time of running performance test?

Enclosing the latest GeekBench numbers as many ask about Battery levels.

This kind of performence degradation is actually visible in some apps whne there are updates being pushed.

I hope good folks at OnePlus can give some tght into these kind of issues.

Can't accept this with flagShip chips.

Does it mean Performance degraded to improve battery life?
But battery life is same for me or somewhat less than that was on OOS10. Then what is the benefit for slowing down phone? 😏

The difference I see after previous update is that I have to change more often than needed.
But this update reduced the performence by 20-30% .
Are they degrading the old devices to make us buy new ones?

    Is that the business model??

I don't see any other need for this kind of degradation based updates.

It was good to see that mug shot once agian, I'm still on 10, phone has never seen 11 even though I've been in to my network provider's showroom and played with a few oneplus and oppo's running 11. From that experience I don't think color os is that bad. It's quite attractively set out in my opinion.
I know I'm harping on but I'm going to do it anyway. I understand oneplus/oppo as a business and what's best for that business. Can you imagine trying to emerging Samsungs 11 with oos 10..... Iam sure keeping a small team of developers on to see out the life of the sevens would of been the right thing to do with some sharp shooting accounting guys to write the the cost off with/in taxs.

Moving on, I still hang around this place in the background not saying much in the hope of that miracle post and anyway there's much more android knowledgeable people here than me. Change of direction (again) I wonder if this place would change if they introduced a thumbs down as well...

Iam glad to see you back because you have helped me many times over with this oneplus 7t Pro even when you were replying to some else.... 👍

    P. S. You didn't know I could play the violin as well(harp).....!!!

Once again I switched from OOS10 to OOS11 and the new version 11.0.4.1 improved the stability and smoothness of the system, it is almost like on OOS10 and it is much better than in previous versions on Android 11. But the battery is probably still a bit worse.

    Hi,
I know your question wasn't to me but if I may say. Have you tried other gallery apps?

I ditched oneplus gallery app shortly after getting this phone along with the alarm app....!

Yes, I use Google photos. But it feels weird to me that we have to rely on third party apps for getting basic functions to be done. It maybe my personal preference. But I want OnePlus stock apps to be performed well like it was being earlier. Other brands either cheap or premium have much better stability and optimisation, then why OnePlus is falling behind them? I bought OnePlus because I heard from so many sources that they provide best software, but it's actually opposite. Its okay to have bugs in the software but the delay in fixing those bugs is not acceptable to me.

Other brands are so much fast in solving bugs despite they have more complex customized Android skin whereas OnePlus being close to stock Android should not take this much time to solve this common issue prevailing since OOS10.

My previous device brand was Samsung.
Will you believe? I never used samsung members app because I had no issue with it in its entire lifetime and used 3 different Android versions on it. Major upgrade experience was way smoother than OnePlus even on first build. And here OnePlus' first stable OOS11 build was felt like first dodgy open beta.
