    Hey everyone,

    We are starting to push the incremental rollout of a new OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 8T in India. Europe and North America will soon follow:

    IN: 11.0.5.6.KB05DA
    EU: 11.0.5.6.KB05BA
    NA: 11.0.5.6.KB05AA​

    • System
      • Increased the success rate when registering fingerprint and improved experience
      • Optimized the media file scanning feature to make searching faster
      • Further optimized system power consumption and increase battery life
      • Fixed the issue that the app cache has not been deleted correctly after the app uninstalled
      • Fixed the issue that the screen may flash when using fingerprint unlock
      • Optimized system performance and improve stability
    • Camera
      • Optimized camera white balance and improved imaging quality
    • Network
      • Continuously optimize network connection stability and improved gaming experience
      • Improve the stability of video calls

    Various users are complaining of an error, "fingerprint hardware not available" this screenshot was posted by @avneet.singh

    Is this a s/w issue? If yes, has it been fixed in this build?

    No 5G mode available in OnePlus 8T for Etisalat & du in UAE. The network provider gives 5G, but 8T couldn't even enable 5G. As per OnePlus technical team they will enable this within a week with an OTA update. Will this issue be sorted out with this release? It's really frustrating to say that, you purchase a phone on the pretext that it's 5G enabled but then t's not. OnePlus developers please respond.

    Replaced my 1st OP8T so I'm sitting back on the initial/shipped build waiting to see if this resolves some of the issues in the recent builds - initial OOS 11 build is working well for me unlike the 3.4/4.5, even camera is better on this build IMO.

    Are you refering to going reddish-yellowish color when selecting text for example? Happened to me too, fixed with a restart

    Im disappointed big time with the camera too and the ram management.. This camera doesnt recognize colors.. My 3t clicks better colors than 8t.. If leave game open for almost half hour, it will restart.. Lot to improve in new update.. Let me know if fingerprint issue is device specific or software?

    It's actually a feature, it comes down from where you pull it, you can pull from left, right or middle of the screen and it will expand in that position

    Does this fix the battery consumption and overheating issues everyone complained about in the last 3 builds?
    and what about the weird camera stuff everyone talked about? I remember seeing the over exposed pink photos people posted.
