This works! But as soon as you turn off the Battery saving mode the issues come back!

We will receive the update(Oos11) next year (probably between February and March) so till that time I don't think Oos11 will be buggy that it could harm our experience 🙄

This is probably the worst update, really questioning the testing done at oneplus. I can't play a video without audio lag and stutter. Same with any game played on the mobile after the update. Will be very watchful when updating to the latest version, unless oneplus explains this situation.

Time of the year you need the phone and the update has really ruined the ending of the year, hope one plus responds to this issue.

5G is still not being enabled in the UK (option remains hidden). This is related to: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/...on-oneplus-8-series-and-oneplus-7-5g.1345340/ and https://piunikaweb.com/2020/12/26/o...oubling-some-users-company-working-to-fix-it/

Judging by some reverse engineering I did on the ROM OTA package ( from https://www.oneplus.com/support/softwareupgrade/details?code=PM1605596915581), the issue lies within the carrier_policy.xml file embedded in mbn files within modem.img. This file seems to contain incorrect rules for the region.

UK operators Vodafone, EE and O2 use 3400MHz which is band n78. I would imagine config for all Europe should be revised, not just UK, to make sure it's properly set up.

Yesterday your support chat agent promised it will be fixed in the next update. Today the update is here but it's still not working.

I expect this to be given priority considering the OP8T main selling point is 5G, and 5G is not being offered by the phone.

Here in the US just installed the update... Main camera now has severe lag time when taking photos, 2x too and pics from 2x colors go dull and muted. Definitely seeing the video pause issue also. Not acceptable, don't update!!

What........this is not YouTube comment section where you come and try to correct others grammar. This is OnePlus 8T update page where everyone have right to shout on the issue they're facing. So please if you don't have anything nice to say or have any answer or problem....get the hell out of this thread.

Huh? Am I missing something? the main selling point was never 5G, it doesn't even say 5G on the box chill. Only Apple used this stupid tactic.

Im in EU and update went suprisingly well(knock on wood); no lags or anything so far. After update restarted phone twice and third boot to recovery and wipe cache. After that boot to normal state and run termux with su rights command: cmd package bg-dexopt-job
overall first impression: much snappier feel
