The 8 Pro is clearly better.
The features are better, it's newer, should still receive Android 13, and it's already 5G.
There are several advantages, it all depends on you and your financial availability, of course.

The 7 has other attributes such as having the full screen without a hole and it is also a matter of taste.
    I love my 7Pro.

Yes the screen calibration on the lock screen is perfect but the calibration is messed up on the home screen and other apps ( to more like reading mode and vision comfort even when it's switched off - warmer side ) made the viewing experience very very bad

Have you upgraded from OOS 10? Because this screen calibration is messed up in OOS 11. There is no fix. What you can do is go to advanced calibration and use sRGB or use vivid for oversaturated colours. Use the slider to adjust colour warmth in sRGB mode to your preference. Also keep display brightness around 40% while setting warmth. Regarding colours on lock screen, it is a weird bug since a long time (I think since OOS 9). If you remove the screen lock, the colours on lock screen and home screen will be same. If you set any lock except swipe to unlock, colours on lock screen will be brighter than home screen.

Thanks , But even after this the yellow tint prevails , Not the brightest like in the lockscreen ( During fingerprint ) , Such a bummer that I can't feel one of the best displays just due to a software bug
    Hope they fix it
Do let me know if there's another way , Hating this experience after the update
Even YouTube videos are coming with yellow tint

I think only some experiment can help here to find the real cause. Factory reset. If tint is gone, fine. If not then downgrade to A10. If tint still persists, then it's the hardware issue, if it's not then upgrade to A11 and don't use natural mode in calibration.

Yeah that's true , But then how can it be a hardware issue when the screen on the lockscreen is projected normally ?
if it was a hardware issue it would prevail over all screens

Yes, it is a software issue and probably can be fixed by reset or downgrade.

Has anyone used edl mode (msm download tool 4.0) to rollback to OOS 10.3.8 ?

I have used it several times, always without any problem. Reboot to EDL was triggered by command from the command line (ADB reboot edl). Thanks to this I have OOS 10.3.8 on my GM1900

I have GM1901 and I used it to rollback from custom ROM to OOS. Everything is ok but I noticed that OnePlus account option in settings is not present now. Not that I ever wanted it. In fact I am glad that it's gone but is it the Global ROM? Is that the only difference between global and Indian ROM? I thought global and Indian ROMs were same.

I didn't use Indian roms but swapped between Global and EU versions and both had the "Oneplus Account" option (which I uninstalled via ADB anyway). The EU version has a very low maximum volume on the headphones, so I use the Global version.

    Use this : https://onepluscommunityserver.com/list/Unbrick_Tools/
This tool will format all partition in phone and restore clean soft
