Throtteling the performance, a useless cam on 8 Pro, bad battery life and bugs under Oxygen OS 11, camera performance of 8 Pro getting worse with new udaptes, stable updates take very long....
What a mess..! Anyone still saying Oneplus is good? 🤭 said:
Not long ago, Oneplus Fanboys were bashing Apple because they throttle the performance of their old phones... 🙂

    Thanks for responding, Mate!

Now I've tried renaming it to .zip (never thought it was this easy) and it just popped up in the local upgrade section but as you said it can't do downgrading because I've already installed the beta version a few months ago. The beta version kinda sucks occasionally and that was the reason in the first place I decided to install the stable version and now here I am.. what should I do as of right now? I'd like to have a stable version rather than a trial version. Btw I am from India.

Then you can wait until a new stable version is released and do a local update with that.

A lot of OnePlus bashing going on. I understand it's frustrating when your phone doesn't perform as good as a previous update, or there are issues now. I've had my fair share. But I think it's important to try out a number of different steps before giving up on the phone. When I got the phone I had a freezing issue when scrolling. A simple fresh install of the current software then resolved this. Currently, I have no issues with the latest update, except for the delay in opening an app from a notification (which has been there since day one of Android 11). Hopefully this will be fixed in the future.

This goes to say all phones of all brands will experience some kind of issue at some point. Trust me, the grass isn't always greener with other brands ;)

Anyway, if anyone wants to carry out a fresh install of 11.0.7.7 here is the link Software Upgrade - OnePlus (United Kingdom) There is no guarantee this will resolve your issues, but it's certainly worth giving it a go.

Just ignore what you call “negative comments” here. No problems with the update. There are other fora to read if you want to get real help.

Sure thing, I don't really care about the negativity and also I am that kinda guy who always wanted to try the latest update but my current beta version doesn't allow the latest IN stable version update. That's the problem as of right now, maybe I should wait for the next stable ver update..

Any time you overwrite a Beta OS with a Stable OS, it will wipe your device.
Beta -> Beta, Stable -> Stable, and Stable -> Beta will not wipe your device.
In any case you should always backup your device before applying any updates.

When I go to my system updates section it shows that your date and time is incorrect. But my date and time is correct. What to do......
