    Hi all,
Anyone knows why the camera option for video are so poor?
We just can choose 1080 or 4K, then when I select 60 fps It cannot be estabilized. HDR only works in 30 fps. No one of the cool option works in aceptable quality...
Then there is just two options for size (16:9 or 21:9).
Slow motion video also has just 240fps in 1080p. Using 720p is 480fps...I remember 5 years ago my S9 plus had until 960fps option.
I paid 1009 euros, cellphone 5G doesn't work and camera is a pretty bad (and OnePlus disable the photochrome one)
Why people still recommend so much this phones?? [e]1f62d[/e]

5G works fine here with Vodafone germany and T-Mobile germany. Don t use cheap charlie providers and you re fine. For HDR the device needs to shoot 3-5 times more frames at same time and render each frame ,using EIS will need more render capacity too and battery consumption will get way higher and phone might get hot, too.
So maybe team only implemented features which make sense and give a good quality experience, balanced with power consumation and heat management. ( Which did not worked out in 9 pro video mode ,users there report of overheating after 2 minutes of shooting hi res videos - would you prefer such behaviour??? )
960 fps slo mo- i d like to have this, too, but did you really use this? And for which scenarios? You ll need a lot of light and storage capacity for shooting such.
Used the photochrome , was funny, but resolution was way too low, can t print out any of that pictures , can t watch it on a big screen, so what? New photochrome is different, yes, but it has full resolution now.

    "Cool Options" ?

I m using my phone with needed options, not with "cool" ones. ;)

How about asking this at O2 community / support? If they don t allow Oneplus phones to use their network, who s there to blame?

Here in Spain, using Movistar supplier (the main one) 5G does not work (oneplus did not provide support neither)
If I have to choose low performance in video to avoid overheat...it is because there is something wrong with the phone.
Another companies offer cellphones with a lot of more options for camera and better results using the same hardware.
Related to the photochrome camera, I paid for it and after some month they decided to disable it.
After paid 1009 euros, I would like to have most of the options in my phone, works properly, get support when something does not work and less bugs in the OS (there are too much we could write a book).
So my conclusion, OnePlus is OK for medium price comparison, the OP expensive ones are far away from top phones.
    So in Spanish words, menuda m i e r d a el OnePlus 8 pro.
I will not say it is a good phone just because it is the one that I bought...if it has something bad or poor performance, we have to say it. But relation price/performance for OP8 pro is probably one of the worst. Different would be if I paid 600 euros...a medium price phone.

If people can enable 5G by modifying profiles, then who to blame?

When will the 5G network be completed completely, instead of making a fake 5G for users
    Location in Taiwan
0neplus 9 series can be 5G, so why the 8 series can't do well

O2 has nothing to do with it. OnePlus has to adjust the carrier policy to free up the bands for the 5g network for o2 in Germany and this has been promised for almost a year now that it will be fixed with an update

This is an issue from OnePlus (recognized by themselves) they already told that they have to include some code but they have not do it yet
