Instead of going straight to violence, why not just sell it to someone who'd be a lot more grateful to have it?

I have had my 1+ 6 for quite a while now. I even prefer it over newer 1+ phones. I made a mistake with updating. Biggest thing for me is the looks. I enjoyed it simpler. It was easier to use. One thing I truly hate is red number 1 on clock. Doesn't work well with colourful background.

Had my 6T since launching, no problems or concerns until os
Admittedly, does feel a little lagging, especially opening fresh apps, also disappointed losing the quick dial contacts, favourites not the same
Biggest complaint, one of my favourite games freezes on its load screen, Puzzle Page.
    Should've stuck with Android 10

Mmm.....maybe a smart choice. I'll check how it's rolling the events on Android 11 and I'll evaluate if I going back to 10. If not, this is that last update I'll do on this phone. (A major update I refer)

After the update there was malware on my phone. I deleted this. Bigger problem is that my battery is empty within about 12 hours. Before the update it lasted always about 24 hours. So I'm not happy. Can I go back?

I have been experiencing slow internet speed on wifi since the upgrade was done and I was trying various ways of fixing it myself or finding a way to get the good speed.

So, with the upgrade, my speed test starts with 30-50 Mbps but eventually it reduces to 1-4 Mbps most times on wifi. Many times I noticed that speed test only gives 1-3 Mbps only.

However, if I turn on my airplane mode on and keep the wifi enabled, I get 80-100 Mbps. I have to keep wifi calling enabled to make sure that I don't miss the calls but this is temporary solution I found till OP pushes the next update otherwise I will just get myself a new phone if this stays long.

That solution is so wierd and it does not make sense to me but it works for now.

I also noticed that searching for wifi networks works continuously till it finds 1 network and while that is in progress ( without airplane mode) , I drops wifi speed as well.

Having similar issues after updating to on oneplus 6: battery is draining twice as fast, wifi is slower and mobile data is lower. Also lagging in apps that were otherwise working fine.

Note: someone linked an advice suggesting to improve battery life by turning off constantly scanning for wifi and double tapping to wake up the phone - it seemed to help a bit and make the battery draining a little more tollerable
(Sorry i couldn't find the original comment...)
hoping the fix won't take long...

https://developer.android.com/about/versions/11/privacy/storage and then get in contact with Google. So why test, if OnePlus follows the Google requirements?
Call Recordings (same like WhatsApp) are still at the previous location, but A11 (for each mobile brand) won't look for the files anymore at the previous location. Solution: Move the old files to the new location.
