As there are always dozens to hundreds of changes in any updates, each changelog is a generic overview just for uninitiated people.
About updates all is very clear and very simple.
There are 2 channels for updates as in any other brand. :
1 - The official stable updates channel.
2 - The Beta updates channel.
With a device from factory you receive OTA stable updates and ONLY stable updates.
If at any moment you decide to install Beta updates you are engaged in a new channel and you no longer receive stable via OTA but only Beta via OTA.
Then if you are in Beta and you want to quit the Beta channel you must reinstall from scratch losing all your datas (of course a full backup is recommended) and be able to install a specific rollback file to return to stable system.
Simple and easy. The choice is yours.

Note :
1) - 11.1.1.1 stable OS is not a hot fix for people not having installed stable 11.0.0.0 update but just a 3GB full update.
2) - Open Beta(s) 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 can last as long as the manufacturer thinks necessary and does not interfere with stable updates.
