I have recently installed my software from the service center as system issue and camera quality issue was there . Now it's resolved after software update but they told me not to update the software as OnePlus 6 runs best on what we have provided..

    True. I'm the next.
Same situation with me as well. In starting i recommend OnePlus phones for family and friends. They bought 6, 6T, 7pro etc..

Now with the evolution of OnePlus from past 1year, same family and friends blaming me that i recommend wrong phone.

All of them are switching to either Apple or Samsung.

My next phone will not be the OnePlus. Looking for some alternative.

Thank you very very much 🙂
And you will have to turn automatic updates off.
You would get a prompt of installing .2.2 update. You can choose not to install.
And I have one more question, did your data get erased or not.

Could you try 11.1.1.1 if you have some time. I think it might work.

Well, I fail to see where I've insulted anyone on my comment.
I guess you are the one that should be more humble.

The last update broke a core feature of a phone, which is to have stable radio communication (WiFi and 4G).
And I'm 100% sure it's not a "defective configuration" on my phone, as I the only thing that changed between it working and not working was the update to the latest version AND I personally know more Oneplus users with the same issue, after updating to the latest version. One of these already migrated to Samsung.

Oh, btw I'm a software developer and I did try to debug this issue using ADB, but the logs weren't useful and I won't spend hours trying to figure out a problem which should be fixed by Oneplus. But my guess is it's related to the radio firmware or software because it's a full crash/restart for all the radio services.

So think a little bit more before judging other people you don't know.

As I've said before, I'm sad to move away from Oneplus, because I really liked my Oneplus phones and indirectly sold a few phones by recommending it to close friends, but it's hard to see why I should buy another Oneplus device. They lost their differential which was good clean software and a good cost benefit compared to flagship devices.

This serious network bug as the last update of the phone was just the icing on the cake for me to move away.

Let me just hope that the current Samsung UI is not the color festival it used to be.

You would need to give your fone some more time to settle :)
1.You can also, clear cache of launcher.
    2. You must clear cache from recovery , with caution.
    3. You can also uninstall a few apps which you don't like to use at the moment :)

With the latest 11.1.2.2 release for Oneplus 6, the fast charging is no longer working with the provided charger? Did anyone else face the same issue or Oneplus is looking at it?

Check that the cable (both ends), the port on the phone and the port on the charging brick are free from any dust or debris. Ideally use compressed air, but if not you can use a wooden toothpick or something similar (but non conductive) to carefully remove any dust etc.

Most times that fast charging fails to work correctly, it is due to dust causing bad connections 🙂

    Solved my connection problems.
Bought a S22+ and I can now make calls that last longer than a minute.
I've used Oneplus phones exlusively since 2017 (3T). Sad that the brand went away from the original purpose of doing just one flagship killer properly.

I will be using my 6T at home on Wifi only for some other stuff, so I'll see if I was right and the bug is related to the 4G radio software.
