You can downgrade only to 11.2.5.5 and then update to 11.2.7.7. Downgrading will wipe data. Or if you use MSM tools you can just flash whatever update you want but that requires skills and a computer and u might mess up and brick your phone. So best is downgrade to 11.2.5.5 and update to 11.2.7.7(again not forget your data will be wiped)

just curious, what do you expect from downgrade, there are only "minor" changes between 11.2.7.7 and 11.2.8.8
maybe there is no need to dongrade, wipe data etc..

    Go here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/oneplus-9-pro-rom-ota-oxygen-os-repo-of-oxygen-os-builds.4254587/

You will find "Downgrade Zips" there. Open it, find below Your Country for example for India , open it and download the LE15DA: 11.2.5.5 Rom. After replace the ".jar" in the end with ".zip" in the end of the file that you downloaded. Move it from Downloads folder to Internal Storage folder. Then go System Updates- Local upgrade - select the file you downloaded and click continue install, reboot and you are good to go. Then manually update to incremental 11.2.7.7 using Oxygenos Updater.
