Ah, then you won't be getting this OTA at all, unless T-Mo is benevolent enough to push an update.

How are you getting ColorOS bugs when you're not even on it? Not to mention the merge won't be complete till next year.

Probably because battery issues are caused by badly-acting apps and mismanagement of the phone and not the updates.

If you use AOD, turn it off for a couple of days to see if it can help.

Remove any Apps you don't need or use.

Also try the following, these are background apps and services that may use battery but may not show up in the list.

Clear the App info Cache and App info Storage for all 5 items

    Google Playstore
    Google Play services
Google Services Framework (Search in Setting for this)
    Google App
    Android System Webview

    Restart the phone.

Charge the phone to full, leave on charge for additional 5 to 10.minutes once it reaches 100%

It may take a while for Google to rebuild its services Playstore etc.

    See if this can help.

To pay over $1,000 for a flagship phone that doesn't have basic features that operate correctly is disappointing and will doom OnePlus as a viable company long term.

My problems have been a fingerprint scanner that doesn't work, a dialer that will not open (I had to download a third party dialer just to be able to make a phone call), and a phone that overheats on a warm day without even being used (i.e. no apps being run - just in my pocket with the screen off.). Factory resets have not fixed these problems.

I'm not a techie and don't have time to submit bug reports. I, like most people who buy a $1,000 phone, just want something that works. My 6t and 7t had no problems whatsoever. The 9 pro is an aborted fetus that OnePlus is trying to pass off as a cutesy little baby. Putting a bow on its forehead won't change anything more than this paltry update is doing for the 9 series.

Now OnePlus announced that OxygenOS is dead and they're merging with the Oppo operating system. I doubt anyone is delusional enough to think that OnePlus will solve any of the myriad and embarrassing issues with the 9 series. If you're one of the many with catastrophic systemic problems that render your phone virtually useless, then it's time to scrap it and move onto your next phone. OnePlus is not fixing the 9. What you have is what you get. It's not getting better.

It's a dead, abandoned $1000+ mistake. OnePlus is dead as well. Hasselblad and OnePlus cameras are inferior to many other brands. Stop throwing good money after bad. It's time to move on.
