They wanted to obtain a better experience while only using one hand and the only way this could be done would be by moving elements down. Just because there is a big space at the top of some pages doesn't mean everything else was taken from OneUI.

Every other part of the UI is still OOS, so these few pages don't really support the statement that 'They copied OneUI' because what looks like OneUI is such a small portion, and there was no other way it could be done.

I wish the quick settings pannel to come down like One UI. That would be really usefull. Again copying something very useful from other brands is not a bad idea.

The grey is better for many reasons:
-It's been proven there is little to no difference in battery consumption between black and grey.
-The grey is better for long term usage as the white text isn't as contrasting

Yeah right and even if it's a copy, it doesn't matter as long as it's improving the user experience.

This is obvious but... OOS IS ALREADY HAVE BEEN SETTED from other Android OS's !!! Bcz OOS is the one ROM that was close to stockish Android. And now OOS moved in one row with OneUI, Color OS and MIUI. This design will be catastrophic for OnePlus, even androidcentral.com understand it. It is too risky business for OnePlus. Hope they will completly rework OOS 11 before final push it to users.

I agree it's different from what we're used to, but I think when we actually try it it'll be better.

The main new thing is the one hand usability, which is better for use and will feel better, just maybe not look the best

Really? If i want OneUI i will buy Samsung u know:) . And i didn't say anything about one-hand mode... I am talking about design, not some features like AOD (btw 120hz is good joke) or One-Hand or Zen Mode...

All i can see is ONEUI and coloros lookalike, and oneplus moving away from the stock look which is a big mistake. As oneplus one was very popular due to the software being cyanogenmod stock android with some cool features added.

I'm personally not a fan but the same time it could be way worse.

I already hate it. That massive clock in the notification centre? Horrible. The wasted space? Horrible. Departure from stock Android? Unexplainable when every single review points out that near stock is OOS biggest strength and attraction.
