It's a Dev preview this isn't a beta for normal use, they are aware of bugs and they should be addressed before the actual betas are released next month. Please read the post before blindly manually loading DPs and you will know what to expect in future

Couldn't agree more bro... Oxygen OS was best simple sleek and very nice and it was easy to use like iOS. I hated OneUI and look wat they are doing... Seriously copying that Shit... Plz someone stop them

You can go further and even say I was invited on the worst moment (I'd say) for OnePlus, and from there I've also been part of a Lab Review and the McLaren launch (even though that was more a contest than a random pick)

So, definitely anyone can get to an EOF or LAB, the only problem there is the number of applications. But yeah, I was part of a few things with OnePlus before anyone could call me a "fan"/"fanboy" indeed.

Not that I consider myself a fan either. I've liked the 6 series a lot, did not care that much for the 7, and i'm quite interested on seeing the next iteration from the 8 series but I always said they are overpriced AF. Quite dislike the Nord even though I was super excited to going back to a mid ranger phone, I feel quite disappointed about it.

So yeah, I'm not as "negative" as the OP2 era, but OnePlus is also not as bad as OP2 era either.

Well, @dsmonteiro works with and for the community, while most of the tech, I+D or higher spheres are focussed on the product and have not that much contact with the forum. Their contact points are the OEF events, the meetups or surveys. Having participated on a couple OEF already I can assure you there's people who's not even part of the forums or that just had bought their OP device and wanted to join in on feedback rounds.

I can also tell you there's many techy people who are voicing a lot of concerns found in the forum as well as others are pointing out their own point of view. For example, I myself brought up a completely off-topic item on the last OEF regarding using the face unlock to unlock apps in the OS. The item was actually written down, and I'm not even sure if they will take it into account or not, but it's something I want, and I've seen many in the community request, so, now, we know someone got that feedback, if OnePlus is acting on it or not, another world.

Sadly, OnePlus does not care much on certain things or worse, sometimes they just keep quiet regarding things like screen issues, which kinda makes it feel like they are just dodging a bullet by being silent, it's one of the parts I do not appreciate, but it's a company, and they try to make money, not a PR expert but I bet those things are a nightmare to them. Regardless... if it's not a SW issue, what good would it make for someone to come? it's not like they are gonna replace hundreds of thousands of screens... even less when some of the issues are basically related to the screen technology (shadows or banding in low light)

no importing it is actually cheaper that what it goes for in my country. OnePlus 8 Pro isn't a better option than the note20 ultra, it's a newer device and they don't compete now the 8T Pro might be competition. OnePlus used to be community orientated, now they just ignores us

    I admire your effort.

Can we formulate a general answer for all models between 5 and 8 and Nord? I'd stick it then. There will still be people not reading and asking, but hopefulle those numbers will be smaller.

These aren't official dates on estimated rollout of OOS 11 but they seem to be real, they were gathered from leaks:

8 series: Open Beta in September 2020, Stable in October 2020
    Nord: No information so far
7 and 6 Series: Rollout in December 2020
5 series and below: No OOS 11 at all.

Thx to @SteveCP and @jimmy123322 for tireless posting of infos in the thread.

Open beta is due on or around 8 Sept for H2OS and OOS, stable should be mid Oct then December will see them start to roll out for previous models, the NORD is the only anomaly I'm this because these dates are taken from the H2OS11 roll out but they don't have the NORD in China so there is no ETA.
