I just upgraded to OxygenOS 11 on my OnePlus 6 and my pincode no longer works. How can I get back into my phone? Need my phone for 2FA and identification!

(In a OnePlus 7 thread someone suggested entering the pincode twice eg. 12341234 instead of 1234, but that did not work.)

No. It downloads updates from the official oneplus servers..

    Hey,

I use OnePlus 6 and updated it to OxygenOS 11 over the air. The problem is that NFC performance degraded. Sometimes it doesn't work and POS-terminal starts asking to provide a card with a chip or magnetic tape.

NFC worked well before updating to OxygenOS 11.

    Is it a known issue?

My OnePlus 6T has been updated, and now the Screenshot Shortcut (short press of the power button) is missing,

Could we please have this very useful option restored asap.

    Thanks a lot,

It is not a problem. You do not even have to search for an answer. Right in the first post it says STAGED ROLLOUT, which means you will get it sooner or later. I haven't gotten it yet either. Just wait a little while longer and you will get it.
    Sincerely,
    a fellow OP user

I keep reading the forum and still haven't decided if i will update my OP6 or not. Most of the bugs reported don't seem too serious to me, but i have a perfectly working phone right now with the 10.3.2 version. Also, I think that many users don't do necessary steps like wiping cache beforehand and that makes the whole update look more buggy than it is.
I wonder if we could make a shortlist or something, that users that have already updated could answer and help. Just a thought.

    For example:
-Battery life (AFTER AT LEAST 4 CYCLES AND OPTIMIZATION. COMPARE WITH EQUAL SITUATION ON PREVIOUS VERSION, IF POSSIBLE)
    -Android Auto
    -NFC
    -Notifications (After trying aforementioned solutions)
-New features (Also after trying solutions)
Also for all of the above. Have you wiped cache? Did you do a clean install? Are you using custom roms or apps outside play store?
I think something like that would help everyone clarify situations and make comparisons.

I received the update today. Decided to wait for OTA instead of use Oxygen Updater App. Very excited and downloading now. Thanks software team. :)

    Hi friends,

I have a work profile on OnePlus 6t for my current company. Will profile get deleted or data in that profile get deleted if I update from stable 10.3.12 to stable 11?
    Thank you in advance !!

Luckily all my important data is automatically synced to the cloud. I decided to reset my phone after reading this: https://www.techjunkie.com/guide/oneplus-6-forgot-pin-password-what-to-do/

The steps were not exactly the same, but still easy to do (and I decided to only reinstall 55 of the 450+ apps :) ).
