    It was not the downgrade that solved your problem, it was the factory reset.

    No It was downgrade.

    I did factory reset after installing oxygen os 11 as well but still had bugs after that.

    OnePlus 6 user here!
    Downloaded the update yesterday (after reading the bad reviews flooded on this thread)
    It was quite hectic but I finally had the free time to upgrade.
    1st - Copied my data (Images, audio, video, files, docs) to my laptop. Then cleared cache from recovery.
    2nd - Updated via OTA.
    3rd- After the update was installed, the cell was lagging like hell. Also, it got so hot
    (without running any app) that even the volume buttons were red hot! I thought the phone might blast.
    But somehow, I expected this as I've read many users faced this issue.
    4th - Shut Down --> Power + Volume Down key --> Hard reset.
    5th - Installed all the apps individually and logged in on all the apps again! Then adjusted each option under *Settings* according to my preference (manually). {That is to say that I did not restore any app or setting from a backup}
    6th - It was already 2:30 AM. The phone was completely discharged by then(intentionally) and when the battery was exhausted and it got shut down, I put the phone to charge overnight and went to sleep.
    7th- Woke up to a fully charged phone in the morning. Everything is working fine. The UI is butter smooth. No bugs as of now. SIM is working, Wifi connected, Bluetooth earphones working, Gpay working, no lags, no heating issues, etc.
    8th- Transferred the files back to my phone.
    As of now, everything seems to be working just fine. Maybe I got lucky. But still sharing this here. (Had to type a lot though!)
    Thankfully, *Right swipe for Shelf* and *Bottom navigation gestures* are still present.

    Try the battery consumption under mobile data, my battery is OK under wifi but it drains under mobile data.
