The rollout has nothing to do with which device in the series you have (or location). Oneplus rollout updates in a staged way and it can take a while to reach all devices.

If you want you can download the correct file for your device and install it manually via local upgrade, any time you wish 🙂

Wow! Well said! Every point Is true. I am using OnePlus phones from 5 years and can say that yes, a lot has changed in OnePlus. It is not at all the same brand it was.

U probably didnt understand...I didnt say u shouldnt instal apps,i said the new update must be clean installed, that means - factory reset your phone BEFORE the update. When u perform factory reset u will make it just as it was when u bought it( with no installed apps, games, etc) and it will fully clean your phone ( even so called tails from previously installed apps from Store) .Thats clean instalation of new software. When u finish all this- ofcourse that u can instal whatever u want from Store..
And yes,i also had all those platforms ( and some more)..Bada ( Samsung platform) was good, much better than Samsung androids( laggy and slowing down, plus other issues, bad optimisations).
Hope u undertand now what i meant. So,in a simple way- factory reset BEFORE the update- do not connect to Play Store after factory reset ( just wait for Store and Services to be update automaticly- when these two are updated, turn off your phone for a couple of minutes and tturn it on again)- and then instal new update. When u finish this,u can instal what u want. This is my experience amd in never failed.
If we just take a look only at my OP phones ( i have 8T and 6)- well, there have been so many complains with previous updates with these two models,i didnt have a single issue with none of them,in fact it turned out that something was always bettter after updates ( also with my other phones).

I have enabled battery optimization feature on for certain apps and restrict them running in background in Android 11. Whenever i remove that apps from recent list, they still don't force stop automatically and consume some power and RAM. Due to this my idle RAM usage is around 60% of total RAM in Android 11. While in Android 10, RAM usage was around 40% of total RAM.
Kindly make battery optimization more aggressive don't allow optimised apps to run in background.
    Hope you do some needful.

Well, I'd say you are a lucky one. I never did any factory reset before or after a major update and never faced issues. However, things were different with A11 update on my 6T. Lags and glitches were impacting my work a lot which forced me to downgrade to A10. Software updates are made in a way that an user don't have to go through hassle of factory reset. In today's time backups are in GBs and takes a really long time to restore everything. Factory reset just to get a smooth experience for a software update is not a solution at all and will never be.

That's a known issue and I assume OP devs would be working on a solution.

Immediately after the last update, I noticed a significantly worse battery life despite the new battery. The screen on time was only around 4 -5 hours and the phone got hot. Yesterday I did a reset and new installation but kept my files on the device. I installed apps and app data manually and not from the backup. I only made manual backups on some app data that are complicated to configure from scratch. The phone now stays cool and the screen on time is between 8 and 9 hours. What a huge difference!!
