It is fine yes, it's the same update as you would get OTA. But before you do so, have a look at some of the pages of this thread and read up on all the issues reported, then you can decide if you're willing to risk it or not

So I installed the update when it was available for my 7T, like so many others. Now you've pulled the update so the rest can't install it, which begs the question: What the hell is gonna happen to the ones like me's phones? Small bug fixes? 🤔 My camera is actually better now and the bugs are so small, that I barely notice them and most of the time I don't, so what the hell? OnePlus used to be reliable! What the hell is going on with OnePlus now? Are you loosing your grip, all of a sudden? 🤔 Jeez!

We all are disapointed, but complaining here does not help. Try complaining on twitter, and facebook accounts of Oneplus, maybe more people will notice it there ;-)

I dont know exactly what did he do or not, but I think that we can agree that everything went down from that point and we dont know why. I dont know if its more funny or sad that OP cant manage OS updates for 4-5 devices(series).

They pulled the update. That's why. Read my reply to this thread, not so far back from yours.

Options for screenshots are now pressing power and volume down buttons at the same time, or the three finger swipe down if you've enabled it in settings.

Given some people have had no issues at all with the update and others have found their cameras stopped working or other "bugs", stopping the update rollout makes perfect sense. Why have all issues not impacted on ALL phones? It's question I asked myself last month. Would you risk upsetting more customers or pull the software and try and trace the problems? I am no fan of the way OnePlus is dealing with it's many devices - why would anyone buy one these days when it'll be virtually obselete before you have opened the box? Updates are lagging way behind much cheaper alternatives, BUT, at least they are dealing with this issue, the 7t is still a good phone, beta's are still being worked on, let's face it, ranting on here doesn't do any good, let's all be positive 😀 and await the next update.
