I'd recommend turning that off then, that Optimized Charging feature. My doubt is that it's keeping the charing capped at 80% or 90% but it's really shitty that there is no warning or guide about it and it's enabled by default. I'm really tempted to flash this build myself and test it out.

Nobody can answer this question as we are all users here
If you are not happy with the current system, switch back to OS10,but backup your data first

In my opinion I feel like OnePlus devices battery are not as good as we think and I have seen whenever a new phone gets launched older flagship's battery starts draining much faster. I was getting 5-6 hours of SOT on this same built but from last week I'm seeing a drastic change in the SOT and the android system is taking way too much of % of the battery.. For a daily driver mobile I feel like OnePlus is not good anymore and oneplus have lost it's brand value, even the new oneplus 9 pro is getting a lot of negative feedback, you can check on the instagram page...
As a normal user I would like to have battery life with the SOT of at least 5-6 hours and battery could last long for 18-19 hours so I can use the mobile during day and charge it in the meantime...

Honestly, I didn't bother to update to this OOS 11 because everyone was reporting that it had serious bugs. You should have ignored it too.
For me, I don't care about SOT anymore. As long as I had to charge once a day, I'm fine and this 7T is meeting that requirement so far. It's battery life ain't as impressive my last 2 OnePlus devices but I figured this 90hz screen will impact.
I live in Canada and we don't have much choices when it comes to Android phones. It's either OnePlus or Samsung or Google, that's it. HTC and LG are dead and Nokia doesn't sell here. No way I'm spending money on Alcatel or TCL. IPhone is a no go so OnePlus takes the prize.

What I feel now is to buy a Samsung mid ranger of lite version of their flagships like s10 lite and s20 fe if you are capable of buying a Oneplus. And tbh it is annoying to charge the mobile twice or trice a day and in last 2-3 days I need to put the phone on charge for more than 2 times in a day...
And yes oneplus update cycles are now messed up because they are not enthusiasts' brand anymore.
They are getting more focused on other aspects like launching a new phone in 6 months. If Oneplus again go back to the regime of launching only 1 flagship and a pro version in a year I think then they can keep up with there old flagship as well because they don't have developers for updates i guess 😂.
And brands like Samsung they are just nailing the updates even on their mid range mobiles like A51 etc...

I lost faith in OnePlus when they started launching the T variants. I felt cheated with my OnePlus 3 purchase. I wanted to buy Pixel 5 but then Google released the flagship with a weak chip, so no go. Now let's see what pixel 6 has to offer.

I'm just thinking why no youtubers talking about this mofuking delays in software updates what oneplus is doing... they are recommending to buy oneplus 9 series now without even seeing what the f is going on with Android updates, not Even a regular security updates for 1.5yr old device? fxxk you oneplus!

Indeed, it starts slowing down after 80% to preserve the longevity of the battery. It learns your charging pattern so it's only useful if you charge your phone at exactly the same time everyday, or if you set an alarm.
