Worst update ever. Apps are crashing and not updating from play store battery life is ruined, games are lagging. Inconsistent UI and menus. Stutters all around the phone. My 8 Pro is like a mid range phone after this update. How can the developers be such ignorant and illiterate to release such a crappy update like this one. HATE THIS UPDATE, MY PHONE IS USELESS👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Just perform Factory reset via Recovery and it will be much better.
Never seen good major update on android phone.
After major update always perform factory reset via Recovery.
Repeat it like mantra: "After major update always perform factory reset via Recovery"
    C'mon you can do it.

I've already cleared the cache from recovery mode but full wipe of phone is not possible for me. Hope this company understands not everyone purchases flagship phones just to get latest bugs with new updates

Also - if a man would believe in your whining comments - (s)he would never go to Oxygen 11, and would miss opportunity to has something better (as it is better than oxygen 10 on my phone).
A man has just perform factory reset via recovery, and thats all. It's really easy...

This should be written: If you can't perform factory reset via recovery once a year, when there is a need - you should not use Android phones at all.
I have never seen a major update which would not break something, and I used a couple of Androids, including Samsung flagships.

I think no one should update their phone to this crappy update. And bro "I CAN'T FACTORY RESET MY DEVICE". Why are you defending one plus if they can't provide a good update with no bugs?

I have also used Samsung devices and never have I ever faced any need to perform factory reset and I never defended Samsung for some minor bugs like you do for one plus. But afterall samsung fixed those minor issues too✌🏻

And I think you are the only person in the community who is not facing issue might be one plus themselves created a phone for you and Cael pei and Pete lau gave them to you. Cause the first post in this thread is itself of how to rollback to OOS10🤣🤣

Not defending, but looking realistic. Developing software is not easy and software will always have bugs, at least untill AI will be able to write software for us. Major updates are even harder to implement because it may fail on so many possible ways, also caused by some crazy user configuration which no QA could possibly imagine. My experience shows that on major update phone has more bugs than it should and no matter what kind of fixes/workarounds I tried - always the factory reset was the best possible option to do.
I just want to spare my time and that's why I am doing what? You know what I am doing.
And so I advise you to not loose your time on waiting for magic unicorn fixing everything in on you phone and on writing countless number of whining comments here but to simply perform factory reset.

I can imagine scenarios where downgrade is the only option - for example of you are using app which is not capable of running on android 11 at all, and you can't live without this app.
But is this o+ fault? No. Is this google fault? No. It's just fault of developer who created this app.
Or ie update broke compatibility with the hardware which you are using, or something. Then it can be o+ or google fault - but do you really think they could possibly test everything? Like ie cheap unknown headphones? 🙂
There should be always option to downgrade and its good its on first page.

After realising I will only receive beta updates after installing the Oxygen OS Open Beta, I want to roll back to a stable version to receive stable updates instead (if I've misunderstood how this works, please tell me).
I see this message pop up when I try and do the rollback: said:

Do I have to wait for a stable version of Oxygen OS 11 to be released first in order to roll back?
    Thanks
