Factory reset means using a new phone so it asks to transfer ur old phone data to ur new phone. But if u r old user and u r just doing a factory reset and not changing from old phone to new phone u can just skip that part and transfer every other thing from google .

Right, I was just wondering if it's recommended to do a restore from the backup or to start fresh and skip backup

So I finally got my update to OOS11 on my 8 Pro, and immediately after it will no longer charge with my wired Warp Charger that came with the phone. Is this something others are experiencing too???

    Hi,

it's been almost a week now since I bought the OnePlus 8 and absolutely loving the overall performance.

I've heard about some lag in this new major update, battery draining issues and some apps crashing too.

Now my question is, should I update it to the latest OS 11?

    Please advise with valid reasons.

    Thanks in advance. [e]1f60a[/e]

I do, with every wipe, and I've never had any issues with any Oneplus builds.

I would not recommend the update. I updated last night and I have an issue. Everything went large throughout the phone. All my apps on my home screens, text messages, in app windows through multiple apps, Here is an example of what has gone on with Words with friends. I should be able to see at least six active games at once and now I can only see two listed. The sizing went screwy throughout almost everything. Very unhappy with this "stable" update. This needs to be fixed. Even the icons in the pull down shortcut settings/notification menu got much larger. I cannot find a way to fix these things. It makes having this giant beautiful screen almost useless. If anyone else is having this issue or found a way to fix it please reply.

There are some bugs and it does lag at times, I regret updating but not yet enough to roll back
