Can somebody help me out? I have the 8 Pro. I'm currently using the OS 11 BETA. and I don't see any update for Oxygenos 11.

I'm located in Canada so maybe it hasn't been released here yet? But i didn't think that would matter.

I'm having the same problem I'm on BETA 3 OS 11. Still haven't gotten a update for the stable version.

You won't get stable OTAs if you are using a beta version:

    Please note:
    • If you have already flashed an Open Beta (you are currently running the latest Open Beta), you will receive this new build as an OTA.
    • If you are not running open beta software and would like to, please refer to the flashing instructions and the full ROM on the downloads page here.
    • Once you migrate to the Beta path, you will continue to receive Open Beta OTAs. You will no longer receive the regular Official Stable OTAs.
    • Moving back to the Official OTA path from the Beta path will require a full install and clean flash (full wipe of all data and cache).
From the first post on the OB3 thread.

I can't move to root without rooting my phone. Really not in the mood to go thru that. Can I reverse from oxygen 11 without rooting? Please advise.

You need to manually install it the same way you did for open beta.

Note - this will only work if you have open beta 1 or 2 installed as the A11 stable was a later build, but it will wipe your data, so back everything up.

If you have OB3, you would probably have to roll back (or wait for the next stable build) as that is a later build than the stable 11 build - this will also wipe your phone.

You can download it via Oxygen Updater (3rd party app from the Play Store), or from links like these if you don't want to wait for the OTA to reach your phone.

    https://www.xda-developers.com/down...receive-stable-android-11-oxygenos-11-update/

Download: Stable OxygenOS 11 update based on Android 11
You can download the update and sideload it onto your phone. Download the appropriate package for your phone, go to Settings > System > System Updates, and then click on the top-right icon and select “Local Upgrade” option. From there, select the update package that you have downloaded and proceed.

No need to root your phone.

Moving the file to 'root' means moving it to the base-level storage - called "Internal storage" in file manager.

This is no problem too, just existing A11 reflash with latest A11 open beta - you will loose all data (if it is newer then stable, otherwise need wait for newer A11 open beta), next use downgrade method noticed before.

I have to agree with you 100 percent. i have been very happy with all my oneplus phones but this update is really making me hate my 8 pro and kinda tempted to just dump it and move to something else. Oxygen OS 11 has made my phone completely unusable. i am having tons of freezes, glitches, battery drain, over heating and many more issues. I know i can roll back but honestly i don't feel like dealing with resetting my device so i guess i will just wait until they release a working update. seriously, i am having a hard time believing that someone passed this update through QA.

You can manually check for updates or download the full zip file and update via local upgrade. Or use Oxygen Updater.
