    I dont take any responsibility for this guide, just on your decision, I didnt test it yet.

    1. You can try to reflash with A11 open beta (OB) - if it is possible due to date of roll out (latest is 3, as I know well, look here https://www.xda-developers.com/oneplus-8-series-oxygenos-11-open-beta-3-canvas-aod/),
    2. next use guide for downgrade: You can go back to Android 10 from 11 OB by downgrade (you will lose all data):


    Make sure you follow the instructions in the first post of the f.e. Open Beta 1 thread (included below) and download the correct version for your device/region. Also, as stated in the instructions, roll back will wipe your device, so back everything up first.

    Note: OBT is open beta, MP is Android 10
    OBT to MP rollback guide—via Local OTA update
    Note: This upgrade method will erase all the contents of the phone, please be sure to backup first
    1. Download the latest ROM upgrade zip package from the specified server
    2. Copy the Rollback package to the phone's internal storage, and remove the '.jar' file name extension if present so that the file ends in '.zip'
    3. Go to Settings -> System -> System Updates -> Click top right icon -> Local upgrade -> Click on the corresponding installation package -> upgrade -> System upgrade completed to 100%
    4. After the upgrade is complete, click Restart
    5. Update successful

    Hi all, I have just ordered an 8 pro and will be arriving tomorrow. After seeing the problems with 11 I will leave it on 10 for the time being if possible.
    My question is, will it attempt to update by itself on first boot or will I be able to stop it to leave on 10?

    It's best to stay on OS10 for now until they release a smoother version of 11 in the next update. I mean personally, I'm a fan of the stock android look on OS10 and if you prefer that too, then best not to update for now. Just turn off auto-updates in the settings and it should be all good.

    Has anyone else met a problem when the screen just turns itself off for no reason? The touch is still working. Locking the screen then unlocking can turn the screen back on.

    Well, sitting here in the UK awaiting the latest update and reading all the Negative posts about "11" I will just wait until it comes through with a stable version rather than jump up and down with my phone is not working after update. Better to wait than spend days fretting over why is my phone not right.
    Better to have a better Stable phone .

    The thing with Samsung is, unless you buy their super high end flagship like the S or Note series, the products turn out mediocre. No budget to midrange samsung lasts more than 2 years

    I went out and bought me a HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro ,Which have a Working 5G out of the box,and left the Onepluse 8 Pro at home until the problems are solved.

    Right? I mean their whole reason for making this change was due to the better one-handed usage. I mean if I can recall, nobody who buys a phone around 6.5 inches or more is thinking, oh one day I might find this size a bit uncomfortable. It's plain as day if people have problems using larger devices, they can simply opt for compact phones, and it's not like there are shortages of those anyway. It's a cheap trick by OP to increase their customer base and tricking naive consumers by telling them this update is somewhat "comfortable to use". The entire originality of OnePlus phones are disappearing every day and it seems as if their whole business model is different. Not a good sign for the future and here I thought oneplus was the one company that could actually make me a permanent android user but looks like if they continue with this same kind of cheap trickery, I might have to shift back to iPhone.
