The screen issues are nothing to do with the beta program, they existed for those with issues long before the beta was released. The same issues have plagued Samsung and iPhone with this type of screen.

From your description with stripes and hangs... Your stripes were all the way on the length or hight? Temporary?
    Sound more like hardware issue.
And when it comes to devs/bughunters... Report all your issues via the feedback tool. You will rarely get any type of help or comments by OnePlus in a thread like this.

Open beta 1 problems i faced:-
    1) They removed work life balance feature.
    2) Lock screen shows 24 hr format
    3) Chrome is not at all optimised for the displsy.
    4) Chrome gets stuck sometimes.
    5) Cursor is not at all visible in both dark and normal mode.
    6) Adaptive brightness is not working properly.
    7) Can't use more than 1 freeform window.
    8) There is a display issue with reading in Adobe Acrobat reader.
    9) Work Life Balance is not available.

    Many more on the way
Please fix these and release a stable update.

Yes. If you get it confirmed to be a hardware issue it is a warranty errand.
Only problem that might happen would be if the phone has triggered moisture detectors (those white squares turned pink/red). That would put the cost on you instead.

They didn't remove work-life. They mentioned that they haven't released Indian specific beta yet. Should come with beta 2

    why ?
this is just the first version, maybe we have to wait until 5 or 8 times the beta.
    try update from apkmirror
