    What a BETA version is....

I'm seeing so many posts, angry at OnePlus for this not working or that not working, or fix this ASAP, or when will the stable version arrive, etc. I am in IT, and have worked LOTS with software developers.

A BETA is software that is more or less ready to go, has passed internal testing, but internal testing has limitations. They don't know how EVERYONE in the world uses their software (in this case, their phone). So, they release a BETA that allows you, AT YOUR CHOICE, to run pre-release software, with the intent of reporting bugs to them, so that they can ensure a positive experience to everyone else, once the final version is ready.

It is not helpful to just say fix this ASAP. Or as an example from this forum, to express your immense disappointment that AOD is not working yet - for that one, in the OP, they specifically said that it was still being tested internally, and would be available later. First of all, you need to read, and understand the OP in the forum of a BETA that you wish to test, secondly, you need to submit a bug report via the feedback option in the app, or the feedback link in the OnePlus forum when you come across an issue.

Thankfully for me, so far I have not had any issues, including charging, and battery usage. Both seem fine on my phone. I would say that battery use has maybe been a little bit more, but I still make it from morning to night on a single charge, so no big deal to me.

Remember, as with cooking, quality takes time, so don't push them to finish something as fast as possible. We want a quality product in the end (something from a high end steak house, and not McDonalds...lol), and you can help make it a quality product by giving accurate bug reports to the developers so that they can fix the issues.

Why you don't condemn oneplus for already passed 1.5 month for a late original release date?
People help oneplus testing just point out the problems, shouldn't treat them as complaining.

BECAUSE OnePlus came clean about it
There was a decryption issue with Android 11 and 7 Series and that's why the update was delayed

Because it has a different chipset than the 7 series and didn't have that issue would be my guess
