Just to get a this beta version of OxygenOS 11 took forever. And now there are issues? This is quite disappointing. I have been a fan of OnePlus, but with such slow turnarounds I am losing faith with you guys.

Have seen this before when Android 10 came out initially as well. May be that Beta 11 is a bit more sensitive to the charging connections made.

Try cleaning the ports on the phone, charger and both ends of the USB cable with a fine dry toothbrush or non conductive wooden or plastic toothpick carefully.

    This works for some people.

See if that can make a difference. Let us know if it does 👍

I noticed something which is good in my opinion in landscape mode when you swipe down for the control centre based upon the side from which you swipe the control centre also orients itself , it's hard to explain but try it you'll understand. I hope OnePlus doesn't remove this in the coming betas (swipe from the left corner then from the right corner and you'll see)

Oxygen OS 11 is technically better cuz I've used Hydrogen OS 11 and it had more than a few bugs....
I couldn't use ultrawide camera, neither portrait mode nor the OIS in my camera...
It also used to get frozen in the middle of stuff so I had to restart my phone almost 5-6 times a day 🥲🥲

I have installed the OOS11 Beta 1 yesterday and it looks stable for now but I am having a serious issue with WhatsApp/Telegram/Bip...
When I put the phone on my ear the playback of a voice message stops and the screen is blank.
When I get it of my ear and play it, it takes several seconds before it plays.
I didn't do any wipe, just updated throught OTA
    Can anyone confirm?

Thanks - gave it a quick try, but don't seem to be seeing much difference. It's a bit concerning that only a few people seem to be facing this.
Also again, it does think it is warp charging - just doesn't seem to pulling the right amount of current - if the problem is indeed with the charging connections being sensitive in this build, would it still have detected it as warp charging?
Anyway, here's what I'm getting using Ampere

    Some quirks.

1 battery taking around 75 minutes to charge from 0 to 100.
So charging is a bit slow but nothing major.
    2. Not able to turn off horizon light,. If anyone knows how to please respond.

As it is only a beta version, and the first one at that, there's bound to be issues with it,that's why it's beta and not stable.

The cleaning doesn't work for everyone for some reason, it was noticed that it happened when 10 came out last year and that worked for some.

Another option to try, again some said it worked. And if you are confident enough to try it. Is to to clear the phone cache. Now some say this did nothing, others said it did work. Its a hard one to pin down to be honest.

Make sure you follow the steps exactly if you do try. See if it can resolve the issue.

    Wipe cache partition

    Turn off your device.

Press and hold the Volume down and Power button at the same time.

When the OnePlus logo appears, release the Power button, but continue holding the Volume down button.

At the Password screen, enter the Password or PIN number that you use to unlock your device. When done, tap Ok.

    Tap English.

    Tap Wipe data and cache.

    Tap Wipe cache.

    Tap Yes to continue.

Tap Reboot to restart the phone.
