Lets go boys. Lets install this new update full of bugs! And then some expert on this forum will suggest do full reset etc etc.,. Updating should be a simple process not a herculean task.

Been a OnePlus fanboy since the start, but this update cycle has been disastrous. When you see cheaper phones start receiving updates way early then your so called premium phone, IT HURTS!
The only reason I still prefer OnePlus is because of the "stockish" android.

OnePlus if you wanna play with the big boys, start improving these services. By removing headphone jack and charger(in future), you are not overtaking them rather you are settling with them.

A factory reset is highly recommended to do after a major version update since the conflicting code can cause issues such as lag or crashes. This is true for pretty much all devices.

As for "cheaper" devices getting the update before the "premium", it's the release date not the cost of the device that they go by. Nord came out after the 8 Series and is only natural for it to be bundled in that tier.

Never seen an iPhone needed to be factory reset or Samsung/Pixel flagships for that matter. Especially the flagship ones. Never seen windows requiring a hard reset from Windows 8 to Windows 10. The architecture might be different, the update methodologies still remain the same. Factory Reset is not the solution.

Never said it was a requirement, only a recommendation. If your phone plays nicely after the update, awesome, no need to reset it.

If I have beta 4 installed on 7pro, will I get a stable update 11 Android? If not then what are my steps to get a stable A11?
