I see so much user's complain about bad battery. Somehow I'm sure 99% of them have custom launchers, custom widget's, custom animated backgrounds, icons and whatever and tons of apps, all draining their battery.

Compare clean installations and not your over customized daily phone.

Bro I already faced this issue and replaced my display for 14k. I haven't dropped my phone they said this might happen because of putting the phone in jeans pocket and slight flex happens. My phone had 5 vertical green lines this happens exactly when warranty is over

As it's clearly visible from your photos, this is in no way software related or related to an issue with a specific devices. You share photos of devices that haven't even received OxygenOS 12. From the looks of it, this looks like hardware damage.

Do not talk like a fool. If this is the case with one or two people, you may admit that it's a mistake on their part, but it's a mistake that has happened to hundreds of thousands of people at once, so it's clear that this is a mistake on the part of a company called OnePlus.

Just now and all of a sudden, a green line has appeared along the right hand edge of my s7 edge. Does anyone know how I can get rid of it? Not sure I can return a phone that I've had for 13 months...

When the always on display is on (when I press the power button to shut the screen off) the green line disappears, but when I wake the phone up again it appears again. Now it seems that the green line is flickering as well.

How do I get rid of this?!

You provided a few examples that are from different devices running different software. Now you say this is affecting "hundreds of thousands of people at once". Can you please provide any evidence of this? I will forward this to the relevant teams if that's the case.

You want evidence? Just type Green line 8T in search bar . In that there will be alot of posts about the display issue after OS 12 updation and can see many comments in the post of the same display issue by OnePlus 8T users. Not enough? Go to Twitter and search the same . You'll find many OnePlus 8T users facing the same . Now if you tell that it's a fault from the users side .. That will be a big joke and you are showing yourself as a fool . Because how can many users face the same issue at the same time ? Can you answer me ?

Again, this is not specific to OnePlus 8T devices, or even OnePlus devices. This is the result of physical damage. As you said it yourself, if you google it, you'll find cases of this that are not limited to OnePlus 8T, OxygenOS 12 or even OnePlus devices. Here are examples of old devices like the OnePlus 3T or the OnePlus 2:

As I and other users already told you, this is the result of physical damage and not in any way related to the OxygenOS 12 update as you originally said. You can choose to contact support to have your device fixed or not, that's up to you. However, I kindly ask you not to derail this thread any further.

Here is some evidence of OnePlus 8T users posted about the display problem facing at the same time . At the same time after updation . Please read it and Check the dates too . And you are again and again saying that it's a physical damage at the same time for many OnePlus 8T users. Very very funny. OnePlus is proving that it has no quality now .

I'll stay in OOS11 for a bit more time. Maybe skip OOS12 entirely. I've already upgraded, but I rolled back. What bothered me the most:
    - Volte/5G missing.
    - The charging animation does not show ETA time to full charge.
    - The notifications are a mess (if I'm listening to spotify or any other audio player, it takes the whole lock screen notification area, making it almost impossible to read any received message in notifications).
    - Its dark mode forces all widgets to be in dark mode too (I like to use a few widgets in light mode, even if I'm using my oneplus in dark mode).
    - limited customization of accent colors (OOS11 allows far more options to choose the system color).

    Do not update.

    - battery draining very fast (do not even dare to leave NFC on)

    - savescreen always on with just little movement, that wasn't happening

    - notifications mess, showing old messages when receiving new

    - more to find

Whoever made this update, didn't test it?

Turned my phone to literal trash. The 8t was the last good phone from OP and now that is over.

    Such garbage. You guys suck.

My favorite part is touching an icon on the homepage to have it open and put the sub-icons at the top of the screen. What the hell is this mess?
